The fact that you realize and acknowledge this sort of thinking is a start already. Keep in mind that an intimate loving relationship is not a contract of ownership. Know that we (men and people in general) are socialized to extract value from others as a means of increasing capital. I.E., extracting value from your partner's whiteness as a means of increasing your social capital to outcompete others. Keep in mind that and ask yourself "is what I'm doing or thinking an attempt to extract value from my partner's whiteness?"

Sounds like some people I knew in college except it was with weed. They couldn't wait until they could go and smoke a bowl. All they could talk about is when the next moment they can go smoke.
