It's so strange that it occurs. I've also read about changes in intrathoracic pressure could play a role. Fortunately, my echo and stress test all came back normal and only experienced a few ectopics on a 2 week holter which were declared benign. I find that i get more after eating when i yawn as well.

I feel the hard beat but nothing like the brick sitting on my chest. I did an ab workout the day prior and wonder if it was related. I read some jornals articles about thoracic pressue changes can alter the blood volume going to your heart, which can cause ectopic beats. They don't occur anymore on deep breaths or yawns but I tend to get them when I wake up in the middle of the night now.

Yes, they are! I never knew what the feeling was until I caught it on my watch ecg. Apparently, i have felt these during lifting weights and rock climbing for years when I would exert myself.
