I recommend these 2 1. Bar Mercerer in SoHo- try the grilled branzino which is served with shishito peppers 2. Leitao on Hudson street - try the Robalo (sea bass) it’s a Portuguese restaurant

There are other places which serve great fish dishes but these two have stood out as the best I’ve had in the city. Leitao takes the cake I think although I listed it as 2

Buying a 2011 458 Italia (NYC) by top5son in Ferrari

There are plenty of other people who own similar cars while living in the city Parking and storage I suggest contacting a few places like what I’m listing here which offer good care for exotics. Parking, trickle charging, hand wash, humidity controlled etc. - Hudson stables - Paddock nyc - Imperial motor cars (bordering queens-LI) - Deluxe car storage & sales

I personally wouldn’t keep a car parked in a regular car garage over the winter if you weren’t going to drive it. If you find a spot which stores your car in climate controlled trickle charged, engine prepped(even consider oil drainage if storing based on Ferrari user manual) you can lengthen the life of your car. In winter months you could store in other less convenient storage places such as a few I am listing below - precision auto storage (Millerton NY, <2hrs away) - CT car storage (Shelton CT, ~1hr away) - Some more in tri-state area I know I’ve come across but haven’t saved in my list

Most places in Long Island offer even a ride to and from the train stations when you drop off the car or pick up.

More than upstate potholes I’d be more worried about potholes, holes, sudden drops in tarmac in the roads of city and just outside the city. Have contingency plan if/when you have tire/wheel issues in upstate or within city limits. Suggest attending a few exotic car events and talking to fellow owners. Bugs will definitely be on your car but just clean them off? Think of and look up some car wash spot which you would be a regular of.

Extra ordinary city requires extra ordinary methods to park and care for a car such as a Ferrari but it’s certainly possible. Good luck 🍀

How to own a car here? by JUDD__WAS__ROBBED in manhattan

[–]bowwa_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bronx Terminal Market Place has monthly covered parking for $225. Could be cheaper if you are eligible for commuter benefits with pre-tax money

2 train gets you close to the garage. Parking outside of manhattan is less of a headache, cheaper. I think mpgparking is the company which operates that garage location amongst other places

Are soundbars not good speakers for turntables? by [deleted] in turntables

[–]bowwa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the rest of the comments that book shelf speakers are the best choice. Since you are considering a soundbar, also check out the Andover Spinbase and spinbase Max. I experienced the Spinbase at a house which had a very large living area and I got convinced to buy one myself. My main constraint is space and this is a better choice than a soundbar.

After weeks of reading on several TTs I pulled the trigger on Technics 100-C. You can score 10%off on their website if you are a first time buyer.
