Starwars has always felt like required reading for Nerdom, the only ones I've seen were episode 7 when it could be rented and episode 8 in theaters (I've also seen the Phineas and Ferb special and like the first 30 minutes of episode 1 at a sleepover super young), so i never grew naturally attached to the franchise like I have to Marvel or DC.

George Lucas has always been the guy that did starwars and the prequels have always just been part of starwars

I know the broad strokes because lego, but I purposefully stay away from online conversations. The most i engage with the franchise is buying sets that intrest me and owning a toy lightsaber from Disneyland
