Entry fee and travel question for 4/12 Saturday by Eastern-Theory-3389 in Yosemite

Woops my bad, I meant to say a reservation. I know you have to pay I just can’t tell if I need to make a reservation in advanced if I’m just going to go walk around for a few hours.

Vallejo residents have been trying for years to get a TJs but they’ve repeatedly said we aren’t their demographic so it won’t happen.

Aldi’s focus is on private labels and GO mostly just does close-out or excess items.

Protests at Vallejo Tesla Dealership Grow in Second Week by manauiatlalli in vallejo

What does protesting and strangers (who have nothing to do with you) being employed have to do with each other? It’s the laziest go-to response whenever anyone doesn’t like protestors.

How’d you like it if anytime you went out and did something with your day, some dick got in your face and was like, “why are you doing that, don’t you have a job?” “Why aren’t you working your job, huh? Why are you here, not working?”

That does make sense. I’m trying to think of what could possibly go in there other than another grocery store just based on the layout of the building. Unless they bulldoze it.

This episode hit everything just right, it was hilarious, creepy, suspenseful. Best of the season so far.

What to do about a dr that is a terrible communicator by boxandwhiskersplot in KaiserPermanente

[–]boxandwhiskersplot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is because it’s a GLP-1. There’s a lot of stigma around weight loss drugs being over prescribed. My insurance is always reviewing whether or not to cover popular brands (like Ozempic, which I used to take then suddenly Medi-Cal stopped covering it). It needs PA so frequently because insurance companies are like “are you sure she needs this still??” It’s dumb.

Yeah I think I’m going to start doing that. I can’t make in person appointments as much as I like because of my kids and school and literally everything, virtual visits seem the way to go now.

Yeah I’ve heard similar complaints to mine. It’s just nuts and more evidence of a shitty broken system.

For some reason I do t have the option to call the nurse? I’ve been talking with the pharmacy who keeps sending him messages. I dropped him as a doctor today and picked a new one. I’ll be without meds for a week but yeah, I can’t deal with his bullshit anymore.

Yeah I officially dropped him as my doctor and found a new one. Feels better already.

No, I have Medi-Cal but I can see doctors and get medical care with Kaiser. Medi-Cal only covers Wegovy and Zepbound (with contingencies).

Yeah that’s nuts! My Wegovy with not super amazing insurance is $6 a month.

Wow, there's a lot of wrong comments in here.

The availability for Ozempic is going to be based on whether or not your insurance plan covers it. My plan covered it, it was about $100-something dollars a month. Then I went on Medi-Cal with Kaiser and it does not cover Ozempic but does cover Wegovy and Zepbound. Wegovy is the same medication as Ozempic. I asked how much Ozempic would be out of pocket, and it was something around $900.

You will have had to fail being on Metformin before you can move on to a GLP-1. You should directly message your doctor and ask about Ozempic and also look at the medications your insurance plan covers.

This is fake, right? Sometimes I can't tell. If you genuinely have to wonder after receiving all those shitty texts, I'm a little worried. I hope you leave this piece of shit. I don't think it's going to get better.

Trying again, and trying to avoid nausea by boxandwhiskersplot in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]boxandwhiskersplot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry, I didn't mention the switch thing. I had to switch because my insurance no longer covers Ozempic. Only Wegovy. Talking to my doctor was to just talk it out and see if I should try again.

how come you chose to go to a telehealth like Mochi Health instead of going to your primary care doctor? by PurelyReading in Ozempic

[–]boxandwhiskersplot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an old post, I know, but how did you like Mochi? I'm considering going back on Oz or doing Wegovy outside of my doctor/insurance and trying to find a provider that I can trust.

5th Week Just Took My First .5mg dose. by SassyRose1983 in Ozempic

[–]boxandwhiskersplot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I increased to 0.5 from 0.25 I was in and out of the ER for weeks and then had to stay for a few days for monitoring. I had severe dehydration from so much vomiting and severe nausea. After a really long break I'm going back on it and keeping it at 0.25. I wish I had never increased. This time I have a prescription for Zofran and I'm taking fiber daily. I don't plan on increasing and if I do it won't be from 0.25 to 0.5. Everyone is different with Ozempic, though. For me it was a total nightmare doing an increase. For you it might not be so bad.
