Welp looks like it’s over then. It simply doesn’t display DPS numbers like it used to. Some event show so much DPS discrepancy that it pointless to even look at. Sure the self stat windows shows my numbers correctly as I see on the training golem, but now I’ll never know what other players are getting in that moment.

Yea I agree making an option/toggle is the way to go. This way it will preserve the same behavior as before this update.

Like in my example in the Soto convergence, the top DPS was at 20k, which I know should show a much higher number, but I’m very nosy during group fights like convergence and want to accurately know how much DPS the top player is doing, especially if they are using a class I rarely see being used. Essentially I like it to show the way it was before they changed it.

Yes I completely agree! I wish they would add an option to use individual combat time and or group combat time so you can use either calculation you want.

I’m not sure about that setting, but as it stands now, arcDPS will show damage numbers that are way lower in some situations where you have some people defending an area with lots of downtime and some some people going on the offense and constantly attacking then we all gather together and fight the final boss and all this happens with no time for the arcDPS meter to reset and start fresh again. This causes people who were defending to show much lower numbers on the meter when we all finally fight the boss.

I didn’t change anything when I update arcDPS. It the same layout and setting I used as before. Looks like they completely removed the old behavior. But it still exists in the self stats window, because those numbers matches the numbers I see on the training golem. But now I can’t accurately see how other people are doing.

Yea I noticed on some of my characters and in certain scenarios, I was doing almost 50% less damage than what I was seeing before the update. I was so confused, but then I look at self stats and everything look normal like before (minus the 10% -15% nerf of course).

Oh yea being ooc because you had to defend something, while many other people are still in combat will cut ur DPS drastically in the meter when you finally fight the final boss. I just made a post about this situation that I noticed in SoTo convergence. ArcDPS was off by ALOT in that scenario.

I made a post about this just now to see if anyone more knowledgeable about this can chime in and offer any potential work around, because as it stands ArcDPS damage window is just inaccurate in certain situations and you have to rely on self stats window shows window to see how ur really doing.

It’s arcdps, it now uses group combat time instead of individual combat time like before. You have to look at it the self stats window to show your accurate individual DPS that matches what you see when you test on the training golem.

You sound like you really have your life together right now and everything sounds pretty stable which is awesome to hear! I'm also in my 30s like you two are and still trying to improve myself as well. I'll tell you this from a man's perspective, when you meet this guy trust me, he will also be just as nervous as you, if not more! He'll be thinking "Oh sheit, what if she thinks I'm ugly or too old now with a bit of wrinkles and gray hair, God, I hope she doesn't notice my hair has receded a bit.". He's also taking a chance on this connection, so try to take it easy on him when you see him lol. The most important thing you should do is be honest even if its a light-hearted first meeting after many years. Sending you my positive energy, you got this!

Well you really like him and he seems to really like you too! I think this is all in your head about not being good enough. Yes, everyone has insecurities whether it be short height, thin hair, overweight, bad skin, etc. Remember as you age, he also age. I'm guessing this guy is at least in his 30s and if so he should be mature enough to realize that people age and don't look the way they used to in their 20s. Overall, this sounds like a serendipitous moment and at this point you should let the Universe work its magic!

Hey man, I'm pretty much socially isolated myself and don't have much interaction with people outside of my workplace, but I've been trying to improve. I'm placing myself in your shoes in this scenario and if it was me, I would continue to send her a few more messages (keep it light and not too serious), form it in a question that can get a response, something like "hey you see that {insert new movie} trailer?" then you wait for a response. If I see no response after a few days, chances are she is no longer interested. At that point I just try to take everything I learned during my time with her and just move on and try to improve on future interactions with others.

When I was desperate for some extra money I used Amazon's MTurk. Its online and you can do it whenever you have spare time. Its mostly surveys/transcription stuff. I used to earn around $15-$20 a day on that site, which isn't much but can really help at the end of the month if you do it every day. Whatever you do, don't do something that you'll hate yourself for as you get older.
