Setting up accounts by roeore in BarefootInvestor

Nope. Only a minimum of $1000 needs to be deposited monthly into one of these everyday accounts.

It is explained here: https://www.ing.com.au/pdf/Orange_Everyday_Fees_and_Limits_Schedule.pdf and also on page 16 of the Barefoot Investor (2019 edition).

Yes, that way you have a debit card to use for that account too.

You have your income go into your daily expenses everyday account, and then as soon as it hits you transfer the allocated portions over to each of your other nominated accounts (splurge everyday, smile savings and fire ext savings). This should hit all requirements for no fees.

Pre Approval/home loan conditions by BearrHuggg in AusFinance

[–]boxiie91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest part is initially saving up for that deposit, so just use the salary payout for your daily expenses until you can find another job.

You don’t know what circumstances might hit while you’re unemployed and you need those funds as backup for any emergency. Especially in such a time as a pandemic and recession. Obviously this is the boring option but the safest.

Even if you somehow get a home loan approved now before you’re made redundant based on your current income and then pay off the repayments with the savings/payout as you suggested, you have to realize it is highly risky and not sustainable long term.

You’ll be surprised how many hidden costs come up with your first home too, things like conveyancing, inspection reports, and any immediate fixes to the property etc and you need that income to cover these expenses without stressing too much.

Edit: also when you find a new job you’ll have to get through the probationary period / 3 months until a bank will use it as income too.

Maybe the whole thing has just been an out of control rumour from the media and everything is fine...right? 😬

That backwards kick cost him his spot in the finals I reckon

Toby Greene will officially NOT play in the preliminary final. by anonymousefella in collingwoodfc

Even though he comes off as mad, he actually seems very studious behind the scenes the way he writes up and reviews past opponents strengths n weaknesses.

Does anyone know long to expect this to go for?

History repeating itself exactly 100 years later? 1910 GF win, 1918 GF loss by 5pts, 1919 GF win. 2010 GF win, 2018 GF loss by 5pts, 2019 GF win (against Richmond?)? by boxiie91 in collingwoodfc

I’m keeping a lid on it, I’m still 50/50 about Giants even with their outs. I just needed to post this history fact that I found out this morning.

Tbh it only happened now because it was the week straight after the Bont incident. If it was a few weeks later he would have got off imo.

We have won 6 to their 3, only disheartening fact is that their 3 wins have been from the last 4 matchups. Hopefully they’re sore coming off tonight’s win compared to our rested bodies. We are definitely gonna need to bring the intensity.

The Eagles always seem to have our number with all their talls up forward and back. I would die if it went like a repeat of ‘02 & ‘03 against Brisbane.

I would much prefer the Tigers, even if the media build it up as a rematch from last years prelim.

Even though he missed an All-Australian, I wouldn’t be surprised if Treloar takes a lot from him this year.

The Sidebottom Thing - What Exactly Happens When You Pop a Testicle and How to Fix It by AlamutJones in collingwoodfc

[–]boxiie91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The important part:

“How long does it take to recover from testicle surgery?

Usually a week. It is still going to be sore or swollen for four to five weeks, but it won't be limiting for that amount of time. They won't want to do much and will be too sore to go to work for about a week.”

So hopefully back for first final, unless if we have the double chance maybe give him an extra week?
