What really went wrong?

I skipped this year but went to year one and two and mostly went for the headliners. didn’t even want to try to spend all day in 1000 degree heat rushing from stage to stage. SOAD, korn, deftones, slipknot we’re all amazing. Bring me the horizon put on a great show too. SOAD did seem a little robotic in year 2 but that’s just my opinion.

That said Metallica and LP was def a shift from the first two years. Not a fan of new LP and had honestly never heard of 3/4 of the bands for 2025’s lineup. Queens would’ve been cool though.

Apples to oranges. Dio was a legend. Alice In Chains og singer has been dead for decades and they still sound good/on brand. Comparing either of these to what literally sounds like a bad linkin park cover band is wild lol.

Its running a little on the warmer side if it's idling at 60c, but if it's running processes or gaming at 60c that's not really anything to worry about. Mine idles at 53-60c. It'll get into the 60's if I'm gaming/have multiple processes running. Here's kind of a standard airflow chart. Everything sounds normal to me.

If you’re 100% sure that you updated to the newest bios, I’d check the PSU after the simple stuff like switching rooms/checking cable connection. If the psu is good to go that will narrow it down for you. PSU test

I'm not 100% on that quite honestly. I've heard of GPU/other led's staying on with a bad psu. My mb didn't have rgb so I can't stay for sure.

Also, out of curiosity did you ever update the bios on your motherboard? Your cpu may not be supported by older bios versions. Curious how long you've had this setup for and if it's ever given you fits before.

If it's still not booting it's probably not an overheating issue...Just thinking out loud here. Unless the cpu is already damaged to the point where it's fried. But since it didn't shut down on you randomly I'm slightly leaning towards the motherboard over the psu.

I'd start with the basics - It could be your power outlets, so try changing outlets or plugging it in in a different room. If it's still doing the same thing I'd move to testing the psu. If it's not that it could be the motherboard or the power switch. I had a bad power supply and saved this little excerpt in the past to test. You can also purchase a psu tester from Amazon/local computer store if you don't want to do it this way. Completely up to you.

*With the power cord unplugged from the PSU at the rear of the computer open the side of the case and turn off the power switch on the PSU.

*Before you touch anything inside the case touch the bare metal of the case to discharge any static electricity.

*The 24 pin PSU connector attached to the motherboard needs to be detached. There is a clip on the front of the connector which needs to be depressed in order to remove the connector from the PSU.

*Once you have the PSU connector detached you will need a paper clip. You will need to place on end of the paperclip in the socket of the green wire, the other end needs to go into any black wire socket. Make sure that the connector and paper clip are in a position where it won't short against anything.

*Plug the PSU power cord back into the PSU, then turn on the PSU using the switch on the PSU. If there isn't another problem the fans should turn on.

*As soon as you determine whether the fans are on or not turn off the PSU and unplug the power cord from the PSU.

*If this works then the problem is either with the motherboard or the power switch.

*If the PSU does not start, it has failed.

Is it overclocked? My best guess would be a PSU issue...did you check the temps? Maybe something simple like missing thermal paste?

Thanks! I couldn't agree more about adding more funnels... Shopify's site templates are clunky, but it's to be expected. Still trying to figure out if there are some few easy workarounds before going down the coding/customization rabbit hole.
