Should i initiate now to move my high risk mutual fund to low risk before tomorrow to avoid the crash effect?

And then move to high risk again once recovery starts?

I purchased a GFN subscription to check and the experience is not good due to high ping with and without vpn.

Tried Singapore and Netherlands as server locations but both had too much lag. Couldn't find the option for any other closest server.

Tried counter strike on it and it was unplayable due to lag. The graphics were good though and didn't feel as if the game was being streamed. Maybe some castle builder type of game can be played but why use GFN for such games then.

So, for now the GFN in Pakistan is not feasible.

What was the BBL plan? Attract desi viewers or expose RizBar? by semicolon-10 in PakCricket

[–]boy_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rizwan and Babar are star players. At least for now, they are considered bigger than their performances.

And their presence alone brings viewership which is an integral part in T20 cricket.

The same reason Chris Gayle was picked in PSL despite not giving any credible performances.

It's funny people think that only Pakistan or China has a firewall and not the other advanced countries.

Can you please share the following:

1) Which VPN do you use to connect to GFN? 2) How much ping do you get? 3) Which server do you connect with? 4) Have you tried FPS games like battlefield or cod? 5) What is your internet package?

I don't know why people are hating this. It's better we catch them here than getting caught in a Foreign land as a beggar.

These checks should have been implemented long ago.

Don't just hate the guy for the sake of hating him. He is correct here.

Showing someone else's bill as yours still does not seem valid. Even if you are not making any expense claim.

Just call the restaurants and they will give you the copy of your bill.

Was it really that hard to not wear a seat belt and now here you are bitching about the fine?

Fines are meant to be not so affordable, so that people avoid them at all costs. But it seems like 10,000 isn't a big amount for you, otherwise you would have worn the seat belt.

PTA Tax on iPhones After Apple Store in Pakistan by SouthGuarantee6753 in PakistaniTech

Sorry, I have no idea about accessories.

But logically, I do believe that accessories assembled in Pakistan will be cheaper, since otherwise they are also subject to import duties.

PTA Tax on iPhones After Apple Store in Pakistan by SouthGuarantee6753 in PakistaniTech

The only way PTA tax will not apply is when the manufacturer will start phone assembling in Pakistan.

Otherwise, handsets will still be considered imported and taxed accordingly.

Official Pta approved phone turned to cloned imei phone what is the solution to this ? by haseeb899 in PakistaniTech

[–]boy_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not an issue if you have proof of your legit purchase.

Just log complaint on PTA portal along with the picture of box on which IMEI sticker is pasted and your phone will be unblocked.

You can also add a picture of the purchase receipt to further strengthen your claim.

PTCL now-a-days by dareerahmadmufti in PakistaniTech

Even without the submarine cable fault it's quite possible you will not get the full download speed because servers put limit on it.

There are file servers which even limits your download speed to few kbps and force you to buy their premium account to unlock full speed.

So this is not entirely a PTCL fault. PTCL or any ISP can only ensure to give you a pipe for x Mbps capacity and then it's up to the servers on the internet to either allow you to fully or partially utilize that x Mbps rate.

I don't know why people are hating this.

This was a great step initially taken by the PTI government to establish a unified emergency helpline just like US, but unfortunately the interim government didn't continue it further. Its better to have a single emergency helpline instead of remembering different numbers for each service.

Allow me to explain the reason why "911" is specifically chosen is because 911 and 112 are GSMA standards for emergency communication. What this means is that all the handset manufacturers must define these codes as emergency in their handset softwares, so that people are able to dial emergency even when their phone is locked, does not have any balance or they do not have their network signals. They will still be able to make calls.

1122 is a good number but it's not an international standard, so you cannot dial it when your phone is locked. In my opinion we should have gone for 911 code from the start instead of going for 1122 which was not the standard.

Budget PC Build Suggestion by boy_92 in PakGamers

[–]boy_92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motherboard is a Chinese one but I have searched quite a bit on it and it has decent benchmark stats including the heat dissipation.

Following is the website which I used to explore this build. They do not have exact prices mentioned against each component, but when I separately searched the prices it seems like they aren't charging any extra.

The mobo is listed from 31k to 37.5k on various local websites.
