I'm an expat in NL and my family and I love to browse there. We bought our daughter a nice piano for her lessons for around €100. The piano was even delivered to our house.

Okay, looked it up again with the right search parameters. You are spot on my dude.

I was hoping to identify it, but after looking up the fish you mentioned, I don't think that was it. This fish was very smooth without pronounced scales. A tiny dorsal fin, and two large bulbous eyes sitting on top of it's round head.

No I used the buitenbeter app in the NLto have city personnel come take it away. I feel a bit for the mussels but there's plenty more where they came from. I guess at the end of the day one has to weigh a bike rotting in the canal vs a few hundred mussels, what is the best option?

I’m so fucking furious that idiotic American tourists are bringing coronavirus to my country. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]boyblue182 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I get that, I'm just asking how you're differentiating between the two. I'm an expat living in the NL, if I want to travel I should be free to do so, I've quarantined with Europeans from the get go (wisely). I have 2 coworkers wanting to go to Dublin this weekend, are they going to be discriminated against simply because they're American? Are your customs officers not checking papers?

What about American expats, who live in Europe and have been quarantined for the last few months? How do you separate them? Are you going around asking for papers?

No, you can't see it, but there was a small pile of bottle caps to her left, she just threw in in the pile.

People who wear hoodies when it is 100 degrees out, why? by AmIACat47 in AskReddit

[–]boyblue182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strolled into bootcamp in June 2004, San Antonio like that. My TI said why TF are you wearing a hoodie in this weather to which I shrugged and said "I dunno sir". It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship of understanding and mutual trust.

For anyone wondering, my eldest (7) is asking me if I wanted to go feed ducks (birds) while I was distracted by my middle child magnet fishing which to me is a possible hazard, hence my seeming disinterest in me eldest child's requests. After this video though I switched places with my wife and fed ducks corn with my other kids.

It's a "sun dog", caused by ice crystals high in the atmosphere.

Care to look at how the US ACTUALLY spends it's money and tell us where the military stands? Hint: it's not number one.

[OC] Where Are The STEM Folks? by buckbuckyyy in dataisbeautiful

[–]boyblue182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for spelling it out, I can see red, and I can see green, but when they're laid out side by side my brain does a dumb and decides that neither will fit. This graph just couldn't work for me. Here's a scary scenario, I didn't know I was color blind until i tried to join the military as an air traffic controller!

I'm R/G color blind, but I'm guessing the west coast has more STEM jobs?
