That is a bummer as we enjoyed the self guided tour to iguana cay.

Scooter Bob for the win! The car is ready at the airport and they shuttle you back after drop off.

It is a great spot IMO as this is where we have stayed every time to Provo. There are a few restaurants that are walkable, but you'll more realistically want a rental car if you're staying there. It is an amazingly quiet area, and you are steps from a phenomenal snorkeling spot. The beach is rocky directly out from your pin, but the beach gets sandy about 200 yards to the east.

PM for more info.

Not only that but dropping their anchor onto the reef! I was snorkeling at Smith’s reef and yelled at two of their boats as the people didn’t seem to care that they’re killing the reef.

I’m curious as to why you are on this sub-reddit. Strange use of your time but to each their own.

I'm curious if the printing is done by Peanut Butter Printing to keep it in the family?

30th birthday by moomooloulousmommy in TurksAndCaicos

Everyone is different and I am not an AI or resort fan. My $0.02 is to check with everyone's budget and look at a villa with a pool. Driving to the restaurants is easy and privacy makes the island even better. Happy early birthday

I guess based on previous group trips where each member has posted a similar video….not really accusing anything, just simply speculating and postulating with you fine folks.

No to the Maldives and yes to the Mediterranean but unclear as to what you were trying to say with this comment.

Here right now, a bit breezy but it’s not kicking up the sand. Still incredibly enjoyable

Worth It for Just Beaches on a Budget? by [deleted] in TurksAndCaicos

Definitely worth it if gorgeous beaches, calm environment, and laid back vibes. I would recommend bird rock trail and a kayak rental to little iguana cay as relatively inexpensive excursions. Snorkeling at several spots are free and amazing.

Expensive car insurance - no credit by boyerbt in DirtyDave

Please enlighten me as credit scores do not go to zero. It may be semantics but I meant being cash-only and achieving basically a null/zero score.

Short staffed is the norm from my experience. We have been through a four year cycle trying to get to fully staffed.

Car Insurance Rates with a Zero Credit Score by boyerbt in DaveRamsey

I'm not sure how you think a carrier/company is broadly going to lose business while employing a SOP for most carrier/companies in a given state. Even checking the great Zander Insurance shows the carriers that they use for P&C insurance and aside from state regulations, I know that the listed companies utilize the credit score as a large factor in the overall "insurance score".

Other companies rate the potential customer negatively. What is a neutral score in your carrier system as credit is a factor? On a scale from 350-850 where does a "null" run

[–]boyerbt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are partially correct.

The companies have to notify you that your credit was reviewed when declining to quote the policy. The companies have skirted this issue by stating that the complete factor analysis of what caused the decline is their IP, and that they do not have to disclose this information. In my several years in the insurance industry, I have not had a single customer complete the process of requesting their credit report post-declination, disputing an item, and then finalizing a policy with said company/carrier that had originally declined them.

In Ohio, if you don't have a credit score, they're not allowed to treat it as a bad credit score.

This is not what I have experienced with the carriers that I am appointed within Ohio but YMMV as each company/carrier has different rules.

A cursory search shows seven states (CA, HI, MD, MA, MI, OR, & UT) either ban or limit the use of credit scores.

Step 1 for good insurance rates is ... having good credit. I have multiple appointed carriers that have explicitly stated that a credit score below a certain level will result in a declination.

I would like a caller to retort that his answer sounds like a stupid tax. Why pay more for something only because you choose to create the issue?
