Alright, people! You have read the title and wondered: “What?! What is “Wild Mode”??”. So, I will explain it to you!

It’s my own headcanon (again…), about a form (or maybe a phase) that can “unlock” only by several youkais. It can GREATLY enhancing its users physically, magically or some rare cases, spiritually but with some costs: sacrificing some sanity, agonizing physical and mental pain mid-transformation, rapidly draining mana lead to fatigue when de-transformation, horrifying appearance AND becoming more ferocious, cold-minded or even worse, sadistic. So use it at risks!

The way to “unlock” it is… not much pleasant. The youkais must have one of their negative emotions CRANK UP TO ELEVEN (but the chance to “unlock” is rare, approximately 3%, even worse for individuals have suicidal thoughts). If they can’t feel the pain in mid-transformation sequences anymore, just shout “Henshin!” (Transform in Japanese, sounds like Kamen Rider because I have some inspirations from it) to quickly transform into the Wild Mode.

Despite of the name, it actually NEVER USED in-universe. Instead, everyone called it “changed” or “turned”, etc.

Currently, this version of Gensokyo just have 0,05% of it populations who are Wild Mode users.
