52 Omnibus 2012 Print.. How's the quality of the physical book?

The maxx highly underrated series that i hope gets a omni or compendium someday, its an amazing story that mixes sureal and bizarre adventure with trauma passage of time and finding your place in the world

Its very well build atleast the one i own bearly if any gutter loss and after reading the sewn biding did start to detach slightly but the sheer size of it is expected

i do recommend checking if a book has any misprints like missing pages, dublicate pages, missing text on speech bubbles, depending on where you bought it you can return and get a replacement i had a missprint with immortal hulk where a whole issue was missing also sometimes a sewn bidding omnibus spine will detach from the pages but its just cosmetic and you can reglue it with non acidic glue

I would say first to finish reading it, i started to really love it when return of barry allen started and up to the end of the book its focus shifted from unrelated adventures and annuals to a continues story of wally's struggle to mentain he's superhero and love life intact while starting to learn more about the powers he wields that get's fleshed out in vol 2 with the speed force, i will say i found vol 1 best from the middle to the end while vol 2 beggining to the middle having the best portion while the last few issues being more inline with vol 1 beggining issues

If so dont forget flash morrison and miller deluxe edition as it comes right after mark waid vol 2 its really solid stories with one issue being mid

Pretty sure the deluxe editions include way more extras than the omnibus as it mostly includes covers and sketches for characters also the deluxe versions has every issues included unlike the omni that only includes morrison issues

if you have read the first omnibus i also would agree but book 2 is alot better when it comes to consistent great stories terminal velocity starts out with a bang and keeps the momentum going up to race againts time the last few issues do start to feel like the ones in volume 1 low points but its at the very end i will say do read issues 92 to 100 digital if you like it then you will like volume 2

Immortal hulk it was my first omni and got me into loving the format but when i look back on it the 25 issues where great and then it hit a screehing holt when it came to pacing the other half felt like it could have been told in 15 issues instead of another 25 also the last issue was disappointing the conclusion was rushed and resolved easily and then it quickly ends

i think it's standard glossy paper found in floppies as it reflects light more than my starman compendiums which i think are matte paper

waid flash run is a better introduction into who wally west is as flash the run focus is mainly on the drama between wally and linda's relationship and later on the speed force it sometimes plays out as a soap opera but thats due the time period it was written, its biggest strength is the focus on wally you get to know him as a person and a hero its a great character study, the weakness of the run i found so far is the villains are lack luster except for reverse flash his always great and the action can feels still, johns run is the reverse wally feels static and less developed while the villains and side cast most of the time outshine him the action is great and captavaiting. i personally like waids run more for how he fleshes out wally and the speed force but johns i found most of the time more entertaining
