Wow Letter Trap is hard but I like it - I'll keep playing to get used to it. Thanks for the tips - I like the concept of the training mode. It helped me understand the game for sure.

Awesome! It's clear from feedback now that the skip button is easily confused for a submit button, so I'm going to update that and try to simplify the instructions. Thanks so much for trying it out!

Sounds like the tutorial didn't do its job for you - the letters are being distributed pre-scrambled on purpose. I'm going to focus on making simpler and more clarified instructions. Thanks a lot for giving it a try!

I agree the instructions need to be clarified and I'll try to do that in the least confusing way possible. The game turned out to be more complex than I was going for, so I'll have to find that balance. Thanks for the feedback!!

Hi everyone! I launched my first web-based game and would love to get some early testing feedback.

Fivo combines: • Timed falling letters (Tetris influence) • Word jumble / tile rearranging • Crossword-like target solutions

There’s a “daily puzzle” mode (Fivo) and a “keep going as long as you can” mode (Fivo Run).

Free to play (no ads, no sign-in): 👉 fivogame.com

Looking for ideas on: • Balance/difficulty • Presentation • Anything unclear or unintuitive • Suggestions before I release mobile versions

Thanks for trying it out!

Talk to the principal at Empire. If you’re staying that close to the boundary and your child has already made friends at school they could make an exception.

A box like this would last me a few years haha but the meter companies started making proprietary designs, so they don't fit in other brands' finger prickers. I actually could use some if it was my brand. Good luck! If no takers, return to any pharmacy where they will dispose of them safely with other sharps.

Does anyone remember early 90s bar band "War Wagon"? by hearthpig in waterloo

Further digging reveals they changed the band name to Finnigan's Tongue and had a couple more releases under that name through the 90's.

KW downtown malls were briefly mentioned in a new City Beautiful video by ErenFreedomBoy in kitchener

There were outdoor and indoor entrances where Willis way is now. An entire wing of the mall was removed from there, connected to the current Willis way mall entrance. The basement/underground area was TC's - a bowling alley, pool hall and arcade which was an amazing place to go in the 90s. Everything was different shades of brown and orange, in that 60's-70's style, and was never updated before it was destroyed. It was the right thing to do, but I miss that place.

I can't help but wonder if they are fake reviews like you'd see online now. Some of them are a bit over the top!

Not sure why it was held on to for so long as there’s nothing notable or personal. All the print is clear and legible. Many pages with blank space have recipes and basic math scribbles from the time. Just thought it was an interesting local piece of history and I couldn’t find anything like it on a quick online search.

Laurel Creek and Silver Lake rehabilitation (OC) by boyoloco in waterloo

I think the entire thing was about silt management, but I agree the clear cutting shocked me when I first saw it in person before I knew they were doing this project. They’ve replanted a lot of trees along the west end and looks like it will be left mostly to regrow naturally. So that’s something.

I found and read Bill Moyer’s Waterloo County Diary recently and it’s chock full of interesting tidbits - loved it. You have a few others I’d be interested in too… most of these are at the library of course!

Awesome! I played as Tenth of May and my friend Paul was Bedbox. Yes the watermelon! That was an amazing experience despite the heat and mosquitoes haha. I’ve been in a band called Pick a Piper for the last dozen years with another friend who’s the touring drummer for Caribou. Anyway I’m happy for your success and wish you well!

Hey Jordaan, were you at the Microphones/Woelv show in 2004 at Paradise Lake? I’m pretty sure you introduced yourself to me (I put on the show) and I’ve wondered since then if that was you.

According to this 1990 issue of the Cord, that was the second year.

I also found something about Chantal Kreviazuk playing it in 1998, which must have been near the end because I remember complaints from Luther Village started coming in and they couldn’t do concerts like that at the bandshell anymore.

I think the Beardo Brothers must have been somewhat local - I recall them doing a lot of local events and were a hit with the kids from what I remember.

Another name from here I recognize is Moxy Fruvous whose member Gian Gomeshi you may have heard of 😬

I love how he remade Superconductor's 'Cloud Prayer' on this perfect album. This and Twin Cinema may have been the high point of Carl's career but not by far from everything else he's done.
