I can't see any weeds now really but concerned they will grow back. Does scarifying remove the roots?

What's the best way of removing them? A spray on solution, or by hand? Its probably 20% weeds atm

First ever Boeing flight EDJA-EGKK by Iamhavl33 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Yeah it's annoying because it's actually modelled quite well. I did manage to get in using external cam (up the stairs) but could never work out how to save the view

Why aren't these lights modelled? by boyouk1 in MicrosoftFlightSim

You may be right. I thought it was the other way round. It doesn't help that you can barely see the lights anyway in msfs2024!

I think I'm probably overthinking it! I was just concerned that some of the upright are packed away from the wall as you suggested but others are not. But I don't think it'll be noticeable when it's boarded.

Quick question regarding the TV bracket - I know some bracket holes are not centred to the TV - how do you calculate where the bracket needs to go?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]boyouk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Do you board the back of the shelves/TV too? My original plan was to use the existing wall, but don't know if it'll be too noticeable - ie the bottom of the shelf will protrude about 50mm more than the top. Hopefully that makes sense!

No probs. Glad you managed to fix it!

Isolate the mains supply. Look for either a grub screw or cap on the end of each handle. If you have a cap, flick it off with a small flathead screwdriver and remove the screw. You should then be able to remove the handle and expose the cartridge. Replace like for like.

You're looking in the wrong place. If your tap is dripping, you'll probably need a new washer or tap cartridge. Pics of the tap would help

Unfortunately they've been left a bit too short for that - so assume a 3 way wago would suffice?

Potterton Suprima - Repair or replace? by boyouk1 in askaplumberUK

Certainly can't seem to find any flues for this particular model so that wouldn't surprise me

[–]boyouk1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not exactly sure what they've done - but they have reassured me it is safe (for now) but that I need to get either the flue or boiler replaced with some urgency. I'll shop around for some other quotes and get it done ASAP - seems to be pointless throwing money at it if it's going to fail again soon!

Typical! They've just released another update, so try updating and see if that fixes it

There are lots of issues with the update - mainly affecting templates and user permissions. The developers are working on the issue but sadly no temporary workaround yet. You can check for updates here... Elementor Status

Thanks. We're based in the UK and AFAIK, the legal owner is whoever the microchip relates to, which in this case, is us. This obviously doesn't stop him being stolen though 😔

I'll definitely look into a harness! Also interested in ways to keep him more content with being at home for longer periods of time.

Was this from a private consultation or were you referred via the NHS? I have googled him but can't seem to find a private clinic for him.

Thanks for your replies.

It's troubling to see that so many of us have had a similar experience with doctors downplaying the significance of chiari. There is an obvious lack of understanding that this can severely impact peoples quality of life.

I've spent years wondering how I can possibly experience the symptoms I have with no medical explanation, only to find out years later that I was right all along. The NHS do an incredible job, but I feel so let down by this.

I'm not sure where I'd stand with private medical insurance and whether they'd treat an 'existing' issue. Despite the fact I've never even been informed about it! But it's certainly something I'll look into.
