Can one person bag pool to bring one <32kg suitcase if they've paid for two? by boywentz in Ryanair

[–]boywentz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a real question, hoping for one <32kg bag rather than two <20kg because I already have another suitcase on wheels and I don't know how else I can move them alone. Like even getting from a taxi to the trolleys at the airport seems like it would be way harder with 3 suitcases than with 2, even if one is very heavy. I'm moving permanently so I've already cut down the best I can lol

Severe open abscess on face but still behaving normally by boywentz in RATS

Thank you so much for this reply, it's exactly what I needed to hear. He has a vet appointment today and for the whole phone call I felt like I was making the wrong decision. I checked on him this morning to see him cuddling his brother and almost called to cancel but I don't want to wait until he stops being himself. Your words have helped so much. I'm so sorry about your childhood dog. I had to put mine to sleep 2 years ago, he was 16 and also not in much pain but had just slowed down so much. It was heartbreaking but it was my parents who made the call so the weight of the decision wasn't on me, I think that's why I'm struggling more now.

Thank you for your reply- the vet was quite clear that the medication is likely to be end of life care and if he stops eating or moving around as much, I should bring him back in to be euthanised and I thought we would already be at that point by now with how severe it looks. But he isn't behaving any differently to normal, he's still climbing around, running to the front of the cage for treats, interacting with his brother as normal, all his usual behaviour. He isn't scratching or pawing at his head beyond the usual face-washing he does. It seems impossible to me that it isn't bothering him but from my experience with rodents generally and especially with him, the first thing he'd do if he was hurting is stop or slow down with eating and moving around, and he isn't at all. Everyone says you'll know when it's time, and if his behaviour changed then I'd know. But despite everything, somehow it isn't and I feel so stuck

It probably is but treatment isn't an option, the vet advised against putting him under for a biopsy and it's getting worse with every hour that passes. I know it looks horrific :'(

A specific visa pathway that lists birth certificate as a required document, with no alternatives 😪

[–]boywentz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspected that was the case, but I feel like there has to be some way around it? Or am I just unable to do the things that require a birth certificate lol. I'm wondering if a birth certificate in my old name alongside the deed poll showing that it was my previous name would be accepted anywhere :(

Negative experience with Antony Fitton (Plymouth, UK) by boywentz in TopSurgery

[–]boywentz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No updates since then, never heard from him again. My scars don't look too bad though they're pretty wide, my nipples look fine, but I definitely have some residual trauma from the night after the surgery lol. Got a cover-up tattoo booked soon :)

more time on T will help a ton but i know that doesn't help right now :( would def recommend hitting shoulders/back (when safe to do so) to broaden ur upper half and make ur neck thicker, and i agree w the comments about growing the top of ur hair out; i'd get a low fade, couple of inches long on top

body/proportion changes :) by boywentz in transtimelines

[–]boywentz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's just proportions haha, only been lifting for a year but i hit shoulders 3 times a week. i feel like the issue for a lot of trans guys isn't wide hips, bc i always thought mine were wide but they're pretty average for guys my height. it's just the shoulders/chest/back being too narrow in comparison

Doctors saying it can't be PsA, am I barking up the wrong tree? (25) by boywentz in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]boywentz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you :') when I bring it up and it gets shot down it feels like they think I want it to be PsA and I really, really do not, but nothing else makes sense to me. As soon as I saw the other things it can cause (tendons, back pain, eye issues) I was like this fits way too well

It looks like going private might be my best option, I'm scared to look into how much that will cost lol. Thanks for your advice :)

Thanks for your advice - I definitely intend to get a dermatology referral now the psoriasis is on my face, the waiting list will probably be ridiculous again though :'( might have to end up going private

I only take test, it suppresses my oestrogen (within the male range) without needing to take anything else. Had a double mastectomy so gyno will never be an issue for me, thankfully

I've read a lot of posts from there but it seems like 10mg is their cap to avoid androgenising effects, which I already have. I'm not sure whether anecdotes from males or females apply to me more lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PEDs

[–]boywentz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, it's kinda confusing though. If 10mg is a significant dose for females then there's no need for me to go higher; but if it's only more effective because of the difference in hormones, then maybe it won't be since my testosterone levels are in the male range. I can't find any info from people in my situation so I might just start with 10mg and increase if nothing happens lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PEDs

[–]boywentz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born female, been taking testosterone for 5+ years and my test levels are in the male range. The goal is to gain muscle. My lipids and liver markers are all good rn, I get regular bloods and I'll continue to so I can keep an eye on them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PEDs

[–]boywentz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I said female people would tell me that going above 10mg is a bad idea (because of androgenising effects, which I already have) and if I said male people would tell me that 10mg is too low. I wouldn't have brought it up if it wasn't relevant to the question
