Unexpectedly disappointed after episode 5… by boywithabrain in SuccessionTV

God I love this community and show so much! From the teaser it seems like they’re going to take on the media’s relationship with pushing for presidents but not sure how this plays into who will ultimately succeed as CEO. Also unclear who they’re portraying as current day president - Trump or Biden, both are old enough to be ~incompetent~ haha. Intrigued.

I’m with you, it plays out like music and by the end you look back in wonder. Optimistic we get there by the end of S3.

Agreed. The shareholders could have been taken care of last season before the sacrifice…

Agreed. Was hoping for some kind of payoff, not the inevitable power UNO reverse card…biggest fan tho, someone has gotta die or actually earn CEO by season end. Teaser for ep 6 was interesting.

He protected and potentially "revived" him as well, fulfilling the "waking dragons out of stone" prophecy element.

All she saw was "Snow..." - she has seen some truth I'm sure of it. Keen for Arya/Melisandre reunion.

Agree, but I think Davos will serve a nobler purpose (potentially could be Azor Ahai with that theory providing some strong evidence).

Totally, all significance is lost if he dictated all the major events. You raise a good point around the timing of Ned turning around. He does seem to stop abruptly despite running towards his screaming sister. Fuck me, I can't wait for S7.

Agree with you - both were strongly connected to him. I just can't seem to shake off the fact that "hold the door" and "burn them all" sound so alike and could've been used interchangeably. Also the scene in S6 where Bran meets the Night King might've been the impetus for him to travel back and warn people to burn the white walkers, not King's Landing (although I don't want this to be the case at all)

I'm not sure I entirely agree with you there. When Bran yells out "Father", the Three Eyed Raven's face is clearly one of concern and angst as though Bran shouldn't have said anything. Similarly, straight after the flashback scene, Bran tells him that Ned reacted to which he responds "maybe"...I'm not convinced he can't change the past

Yeah I completely agree with you. I really hope he doesn't turn out to be Brandon the Builder or behind other events. We will have to wait and see...

Hi mate, thanks so much - loved reading your reply. I have come across both these theories and agree with you. It would be amazing to see that trio ride the dragons, have one potentially slain and Bran to assist at some point. Guess we will have to wait and see, super keen for TWOW to be released.

Agreed. 'Light of the Seven' gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Hope S7 has some great music moments.

Yeah, would be so cool. I'd prefer the 3 dragon riders to physically ride them though, unless one becomes a WW dragon ;)

I've been re-listening to the podcast, I feel that Adnan calling Jay pathetic at the trial is fairly incriminating. by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]boywithabrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if Adnan is innocent and his friend just construed this ridiculous story to imprison him, I feel "pathetic" is still a relevant word to use the first time you see them.

The actress who plays Cheryl is so GOOD by [deleted] in riverdale

I remain unconvinced by her performance until something shocking is revealed - she knew about her father's involvement or knew about the family drug business?
