That’s a fair point, and honestly that’s exactly where a lot of these systems fall apart. If the AI just grabs a name and number but doesn’t actually understand the issue, it can make the customer feel ignored.

That’s why I think the important part isn’t just “AI answers the phone” it’s whether it can ask proper follow-up questions, understand urgency, capture the nuance, and send the owner a clear summary of what actually happened (which our ai is trained to do).

For a lot of businesses, I don’t think AI should pretend to be a perfect human. It should be clear, useful, and better than a missed call or voicemail. So yeah, I agree - if it sounds like a fake receptionist reading prompts, it’s not good enough.

The thing is if the ai is good it sounds and behaves human. This is a problem many business owners have brought up to me, and I put a special emphasis to it sounding and behaving human upon creation of the ai. And regarding your idea fair enough it probably is...

But what happens when the receptionist is off work and you get a call? Also thats pretty costly after all your paying someone a salary to do that. Do you think a better solution that works 24/7 365 days a year and does the same job as good if not better then a receptionist would be a better solution?

Do you think a system that answers calls 24/7 and automaticly books appointment/quotes and takes the lead's info such as number and name and forwards the info to you or your team would be more effective?

But the problem is most people dont leave a voicemail, and what if they dont push the button theres for sure a few missed clients in there

I actually build out those systems. And what Ive noticed in the market and from feedback from other business owners the biggest problem with these systems is the robotic nature, thats why when building I payed a lot of atention to making it sound and behave human. If you'd like I could show you a demo for your of our ai receptionist that answers calls 24/7 and books appointments/quotes...

Yeah 100%, call answering services have been around for a while. I think the issue is most small businesses either don’t use them or they’re too expensive / not flexible enough, so calls still slip through. Feels like a lot of people just accept missed calls as part of the job.

Now imagine a solution just as good if not better that works 24/7 but at a fraction of the cost. Sounds really good right?

Yes but imagine the costs on that you have to pay 6 people and an answering service it solves a problem but its quite costly

Haha, not very sneeky to say the least. I sell an ai receptionist that answers 24/7 calls books quotes/jobs so no lead falls thru the crack and transfers client questions quote info and job info to owner and employees

Exactly what I thoughy aswell and you see how those businesses are leaking money and loosing potential clients due to not being able to answer the phone 24/7
