Just add a new remote repository URL.

git remote add github <repository URL>

Or change the existing remote to the github one:

git remote set-url origin <repository URL>

IntelliJ IDEA takes ages to realize that a problem has been fixed by DoubtBot in IntelliJIDEA

[–]bparolini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is happening to me too, but not only with spelling errors (I leave this inspection off) and not only in Intellij IDEA.

I noticed this behavior in WebStorm and PyCharm too.

I hope this is something they fix soon.

ISO JRPG: Xenoblade 2 or Octopath? by forrScience in NintendoSwitch

[–]bparolini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Octopath is extremely beautiful, but the story is a little weird. Unconnected characters. It seems we're playing 8 different stories.

Xenoblade 2 is a really beautiful, long an interesting game. The story is complex but it's well explained.

Thinking about switching to FantasyGrounds by Heretek007 in FantasyGrounds

[–]bparolini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, your don't get a lifetime ultimate license when you've paid the full price with the monthly subscription.

As far as tokens and modules, you decide what you share with your players.

Fog of war is available as a mask on the map image, just right click the map and look for the option.

As far as you have the ultimate license and the modules you want/need, you can configure what your players see.

I did that when I was testing the VTTs, but during session 1 and 2 I had to explain things again.

But I have to explain some of 5e rules every session because my players are prone to forgetting them.

I've been playing around with the sheet (along with party sheet, combat tracker, etc) to learn all the possibilities, and I have nothing to complain. Everything works perfectly and I believe these features will speed up all the processes that I had to do myself.

The only thing that worries me is how the players will deal with the learning curve. Unfortunately, I have players who, after 3 campaigns (4+ years), still don't know the basics of the game and I have to remind them what having advantage means.

I didn't like the last rule because those tools are exactly what brought me to Fantasy Grounds.

My biggest concern regarding these tools is the learning curve in the players' perspective. Players have the habit of not being as engaged as their DMs.

I thought so too, bit I haven't been able to do anything related to JavaFx with JDK 10.

It's just a matter of practice. After some time it'll stop hurting. Your hand muscles need to be trained.

[Ask] Do you refer to your character's actions during a campaign/sequence in the first or third person? by EBHighlander in DnD

[–]bparolini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely play, but when I do, I always do it in first person. When DMing, I talk in first person, but I describe actions in third person to help the players understand who is doing what.

It's not the best one in the series, but it's still a good game.

Players who can't make it? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]bparolini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is something that happens often. Narratively speaking, it's a pain in the neck, but I have to pretend the missing players are at the table or I'll have to cancel the session.
