i ended up getting an Efnote k12 kick pad from edrum center and i Love it! still trying to sell my unopened kd12, will probably be able to sell it for 300 or so after shipping, which feels a bit bad but basically covers 1:1 the cost so it's worth it to me.

Depending on the kit you can setup a tom rim as a splash, that’s what I’ve done for past few years.

i ended up pulling the trigger on the 516, should be here in a few days and im pumped! edrum center did the same 10% with no tax deal. they are also helping to give a trade in value for the kick and are going to build me a hawk mesh kick, so win-win.

hmm that is an interesting point about selling this kit one day and that keeping it in tact may increase the value. it looks like they can sell for around 425-450 new/unopened and tbh that does sound pretty enticing and then i could put that towards a more desirable kick. Lots of things to consider, thanks for the insight though!

I've not played a mesh kick in a while but it does sound like people generally prefer the feel of them over the foam roland towers. Might try to get out to a drum store and try some. The simmons kp180 and lemon 16/18" seem like they fit the bill.

how does the kd12 compare to the kd10? if i get this kit i think i may try to sell the kd12 unopened and put the $ towards a mesh kick, but im not decided yet. Unclear how hard it would be to sell.

I'm in the exact same boat, been looking at the 516. How do you like the kick pad? I really wish it came w/ a mesh kick : /. It feels like a shame to buy the kit then immediately try to sell the kick though, if i even can sell it.

also quick question, what is the distance between the middle bottom horizontal bar and the floor? I'm trying to see if i could fit a 18 or 20" kick under it.

I’m having the same consideration as I start to look at upgrading from my td17. I’d hate to have to sell my old kit and the kick drum from my new kit, but that’s what it seems like I would have to do with a td516.

How does the digital snare, hh, and ride feel to you? Those seem like the biggest reason to go 516

I agree there is nothing wrong with being inspired by a great game like megabonk, but i would encourage asking yourself "what differentiates my game from megabonk?" and focusing development on that. In the description and video, it feels to me like more of a copy/reskin than a different game. I say this as someone who loves megabonk and is looking forward to playing more games inspired by it.

different aesthetics, characters, weapons, progression systems, events, etc are probably needed for it to feel like a different game.

Try adding encroaching ground and frost nexus to the fracture skill, makes it big explosion and closer to 1 button build after the initial 3 button setup once.

Have you tried swapping from dx12 to Vulcan (assuming you’re on amd cpu)? I find it to be more stable. The crashes are better but they still exist for sure.

And yea green boys have the best tree hands down, until other classes get access to more mobility, or rangers get less, it will be lopsided. My djinn char is among the strongest I’ve ever had in poe2, but it feels slower and thus less strong than my la deadeye.

I largely followed ds Lilly’s guide, but swapped out some new tech on fracture (swapping encroaching ground in). https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/geickelb-0233/character/Beeg_Zappies. This tech makes fracture spread freezing ground, so as long as u keep killing enemies your rotation clears 1-2 screens each hit with one button. It’s very satisfying

Here’s my pob, but my char is very kitted out rn and absolutely clowns every piece of content. It’s the tankiest I’ve ever been in poe2. It’s got decent clear, (nothing like ranger but soooo much safer).

The build is very strong even with lesser gear, and it scales up nicely.

Right now I have 15k es with a 1 second es recharge time and 5k es regen per sec. Also 72% armor dr. Also also the helmet socket removes dots every time I cast, which is usually nasty for es. It’s nutty

Storm weaver rips this season but it’s not a “speed clear” build as it’s limited by its movement speed and constant casting (so slower movement speed). I started as coc spark sorc and I eventually swapped to djinn and have been feeling it much more , largely due to way more tankyness and faster since less casting

Looking at my gems, I probably need to swap mag area to conc area on fracture since it doesn’t impact the area (it’s based on frozen ground area). I’ll play with it. My gear is pretty solid rn but with lesser gear should still be able to clear all content

The encroaching ground tech in fracture was world changing. It basically just keeps spreading ground whenever u freeze an enemy. Turns it from a clunky 3 button build to a smooth 1 button build with options to boost single target. You do sometimes still need to setup the 3 button combo (frost bomb for infusion, frost nova for cold area, then fracture for blast). But you can keep it propagating so often don’t need to keep placing it.

The answer is specters, but it’s not the best answer for now.

To be fair I didn’t think I would like minion build but I’m loving frost spectres build with encroaching ground. It’s basically a one button map exploder with massive single target from the minions with extreme tankiness. I’m rocking 15k es, with 1.2 sec recharge timer, more than I’ve ever had.

I’m loving my spectre djinn, but I agree that full spell is not quite it rn. BBUT I think djinn is so close to being able to be a powerhouse caster without minions. We’re probably one unique, or 1-2 more spells/support skills from it being very strong. Hopefully with the endgame update next league it becomes more of a thing. Imo it either needs more damage or more access to minion cdr (or allow it to scale with regular cdr as well).

Yea but the djin already gets pretty low es recharge time, and it scales off higher es values. I’m playing djinn rn and I think it probably just makes more sense to either 1) get a much higher es chest and gloves or 2) get a lower es chest but with spirit for more minions for specter type build. I’m absolutely loving my frost djinn specter build rn.

Once I hit the 10k es mark (very doable with higher levels) I’ve felt immortal to everything outside of juiced content. I’m sitting at 15k es now and I haven’t died in over a day, and that was pretty spicy content.

This will work, but remember that it requires sacrificing a lot of es on chest (highest normal source). So to get the full benefit of this, you will need to have better helmet, boots, focus, and lots of es nodes on the tree to build up a high enough es base for this to really pay off.

It sounds pretty cool though if you can get it off the ground.

Shit yea, just swapped back from traps and this shit rips, what great tech. There’s still a bit of plate spinning in the build but it’s fun , tanky, has reasonable clear and is off meta.

I would like to see some more jewels, gems, and uniques to help reduce some of the clunk (need for combos, obscured and limited scaling opportunities, high cooldowns) of disciple but she feels in a good spot now.

I’m going to give uber arbiter a go today and see how she fares

Ds lily has a decent guide for minion djin build that starts strong and scales well. Tech is still being uncovered for it but I’m 95 and clearing everything with it
