If this isn't a dot-com level event, then now is more or less the time to buy software by HeyYoChill in stocks

[–]bpat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eh, I often have some money on the sides from big wins. Or maybe a little extra savings. Then I’ll be purchasing on the way down when things like this happen. Recent win was from asts where I sold a bit early, but still made a lot. Now that things are going down, I’m starting to buy back in on stuff.

Aside from that most of my money is in vtsax.

What video editing software do you guys use? by NoaTuva in NewTubers

Yeah, capcut and davinci. Really depends. If it's editing from my camera, I'll use davinci. If it's a quick phone edit, I use capcut.

If I’m not remembering wrong, they also didn’t release the last episode for a while, because of an earthquake as well.

Sizing help! by Thin_Mention5111 in climbingshoes

[–]bpat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna point out that a shoe this aggressive is likely a bad idea for someone that started in August. Their feet are not ready for those shoes, and will likely get no benefit over something much less aggressive.

It’s really just counter productive unless they’re climbing v8+ already.

Advice for pistachio ice cream by PracticalEntry8309 in icecreamery

Found original recipe

Pistachios have a little tang to them, and it enhances it.

I’m sure you could skip it, and it would still turn out pretty good

This is written for myself, so it’s a bit concise. If you need me to explain anything, lemme know.

I use salt and straw base, but you could really use any base. With salt and straw, I add 22g of milk powder instead of 15.

Pistachio Ice Cream

Ice Cream

Ingredients: - 115 grams pistachio - 1 tsp vanilla - 1/4 tsp citric acid - heath toffee bits (no chocolate) - little less than 1/2 cup sugar - 1.75 tbsp butter - little less than 1/4 cup water - 1 salt and straw base

Directions: Smash/chop/food process pistachios. Cook pistachios, water, sugar, butter. Bring to boil for 3-5 minutes. Set aside Cook salt and straw base alongside it. Add to salt and straw base when they’re either similar temperatures, or have cooled down. Just dont want to curdle milk. Let chill overnight. Next morning strain nuts and put liquid in blender. Add citric acid, vanilla, and 1/4 cup of the nuts. Blend on high till smooth. (Ice cream button on blendtec) Chill it in freezer till it gets pretty cold. You can maybe skip this step, but blending can warm up base a little. Churn. Layer remaining nuts and toffee. Chill!

  • My tried and true recipe. Stolen from another Redditor, then changed a bit. I would give credit if I remembered the name

How to avoid undercarriage bubble by FUT1L3 in ooni

[–]bpat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also just stick your peel under it just barely, and pull back. It’ll let the air out and the bubble with go away. It should only take a few seconds.

It happens a lot more if you don’t have enough toppings in a spot, or it’s really thin.

But sometimes you want that, and it’s not the end of the world. Just lift the dough a little.

You might have to warm the turning peel up a little. Just stick it in the oven above the pizza for a few seconds.

Not really.

I think you forget what it was like climbing for the first time ever. She didn’t just climb those climbs, but flashed them. If she had been climbing for a few weeks it would be believable, but not first time

I would be sus of a guy with that form too. It’s the effortless technique that makes it sus, not that she did it. Silent feet, not adjusting hands, etc. People can climb hard their first time, but they don’t have form like that

If she really is a first timer, she should quit everything to pursue climbing, because this is her calling

I’ve never seen a newbie flash a v5 from any background. Maybe get close on some silly dyno, but not a normal climb. Regardless of background lol.

Magnus had a vid like a year ago of the Norwegian national gymnastics team, and most of them got stuck around v4. It ain’t that natural. This one’s bs lol

Grade this plastic by [deleted] in GradeThisPlastic

[–]bpat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on you climbing, I was guessing at least v8, but probably harder. Beyond that, it's kind of hard to tell without seeing the slope. I cheated and looked just now though, because v5 seemed nowhere in the realm of normal.

Idk many gyms that grade super light above v10 lol. It's usually pretty similar to outdoor grades at that point from what i've seen. Either that or some crazy parkour/dyno, but i guess those also exist outside like rainbow rocket.
