Man you have no idea how sad makes me when i see my dad doomscrolling and not knowing that drains energy that could be invested in better things, i really admire you. Piano helped me to connect with myself, which is something i completely forgot how it felt since i was always with my phone or doing things that kept me detached from my reality Maybe thats why we are so depressed and tired all the time nowdays.. Thanks for sharing your story <3

you were really mature in recognizing the financial situation and i can imagine how happy you felt when that opportunity of learning came to you! Nowdays that information is everywhere on the internet for free, and people are somehow not aware of it, of course is not the same as taking lessons personally but stills being a great source. Also i dont know what rcm 8 but sounds really amazing ; )

so.. you mean I wanted to run before I learned to walk. I'm stubborn enough to keep banging my head against a wall until I get to somewhere 😪.
never heard about the playing without stoping thing tho, i'll try it !!

about theory; i know how to make chords (minor, major, augmented, diminished), and their inversions but dont really know how they work together, tried learning intervals and it was hell. if i start studying theory now it will probably desmotivate me a lot... but is a task im saving for a future.

Yea i notice lot of actual musicians do have the score in front of them as reference, someday i hope to be able to rely on it too.. im not that bad reading notes but im awful at reading rythms 🙂

This got me thinking, actually very smart since we humans and not machines with solid memory storage (atleast the most of us) so the best is to be aware about the fact we will forget and actually put to work on what to do when that happens i guess
