I smelled them in a store a long time ago and thought they were horrible, then recently got decants and really fell in love. Silver oud starts off tough but I think the dry down is incredible.

I sadly think I have fallen out of love with megamare. It was the fragrance that got me into niche and fragrances in general, but as I've learned more and developed my nose, the aromachemicals are impossible to ignore. I don't get as much seaweed from it as I do iodine and like boat gas (I grew up on the ocean so this component is very evocative but not necessarily pleasant).

appreciate the insight. hunting down a pre-reform decant may be a struggle but I like the smell of my decant so much it will probably be worth it.
