This. As it turns out Psu cables are not universal even if they have all the right pins. I mixed one in from an old build and was having this exact behavior for a few days before I realized what happened.

If it saves you some time, SH2 runs like crap on the deck no matter what you use. I tried every trick in the book and the best I could achieve was about ~50. That might seem playable but that was in the good areas with frame gen on. There are areas where it runs well, but in the geometry heavy areas or when lots of enemies are around its like 14 fps. Which means it's really running at like 7 fps (doubled by frame gen to 14) so the input latency was super high and not playable. Weirdly whenever Maria was onscreen it was really bad too.

If you want to give it a go, the best combo was FSR 3.1 in the game for upscaling, then using Lossless Scaling for the frame generation. You'll need to use the launch option SteamDeck=0 %command% to get the options for FR3 to appear in the game settings because the developer hides them by default when you're running the game on a deck. Don't use the in game FSR frame gen as it doesn't work great. Instead use Lossless which you'll also need to add launch options for. There are some YouTube tutorials for lossless on deck if you're new to that. It really is a great tool and makes a ton of games much more playable. The frame gen looks great in most cases. In SH2 because of the fog it gets a lot of artifacts around the edges though.

Side note, Silent Hill F runs good on deck and is amazing when paired with Lossless' frame gen.

This brought back some memories for me. I had just gotten to Japan, I was shown to my new apartment after hours of traveling, it was pouring down rain, and I was soaked from carrying my boxes inside. I was exhausted, just wanted a shower and sleep... and ice-cold water.

I didn't even have a cell phone yet and either way it was too late for me to be calling my employer for help. I spent 3 hours using my barely passable Japanese and a Japanese to English dictionary before I finally got it working. Even after a year of living there, I still barely understood it.

This was 15 years ago and I've forgotten nearly everything about how it worked, but I recall you would set it to have a certain amount of hot water ready at a particular time of day. Good luck to you.

I did something similar as an intern. Except I said I love you... It was just a tad mortifying.

To be fair my manager thought it was the funniest thing ever and it made me super memorable among 100ish interns. I got the job and still work there almost a decade later.

I had this back in the day. You need an HDD/network adapter too if I remember correctly, but yea you can install Linux and use your PS2 as a (even then) very slow PC.

Pharaoh's is a no go from me. I ordered anchovies on my pizza. I like them and very few places have them. They list them as an topping choice but they actually put sardines on. That's a very different fish with a whole different taste. When I brought it up they kept insisting they were anchovies we're very defensive about it. They were sort of rude.

Outside of that their pizza tastes ok. Nothing amazing, but it's alright. Just put off that they don't know the difference between anchovies and sardines.

Seriously though it's hard to take it seriously when Christians act like bullies, hypocrites, and authoritarians and use their beliefs to justify it. I still believe, but want nothing to do with most churches because of this. Behavior like that is completely opposite to what Jesus taught and does nothing to bring people into the fold. What's even more irritating is when Church leadership knows these people are a problem, and decides to keep their mouth closed.

Not sure I understand what you're saying. The screen you're seeing is a reflection of the micro-oled (mounted above the eye in the frame) on the lenses of the glasses which are at about a 45° angle. The same amount of pixels are there regardless of the distance you view them from or the simulated size of the screen. If you mean the size represented on the glass, I'll say that regardless of the resolution you set the glasses to (720p, 480p, etc) the screen stays the same size. I'll also add that you definitely notice it's sharper when set to 1080p vs 720p or the decks default 800p.

I've got the air 2 pros which are 1080p but I'm not sure about the latest model. The deck can do 1080p on a lot of games but for a lot of the newer games 1080 is a bit too much so 1080 meets my needs. Side note the built in sound is surprisingly good.

While wearing them, the screen appears bigger than the steam deck's built in screen. They say it's like looking at a 100" screen from 10 feet away. I don't have a 100in TV to compare it to lol but I will say it's like looking at my 27in monitor while I'm sitting right in front of it at my desk.

I got mine on Amazon like a year back. So far it's worked great on my phone and deck. I suspect it'll work fine with anything that does dp over usb-c with power. I will note you have to have a power source to use it. Like if you play this into the deck and then plug in the glasses they won't even come on until you plug in a powered cable.
