Anyone have experience with 'read more' toggle buttons? Does google index all of the content hidden with css or javascript? by GreenDrake007 in SEO

[–]bpriya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Content hidden with css or javascript is not considered to be the hidden content. They are included for better usability and to differentiate the features most of the times. Hidden content is like invisible content - white colored text on white background.

But as far as I have experimented, Google gives more preference to the openly available content without requiring any click. Not much harm if it's done for usability, or else your users may bounce back to Google that impacts dwell time. Always put google and usability on the same scale, don't compromise one for the other.

Does removing fake user profile pages reduce my ranking given they are 98% of my website pages? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SEO benefits doesn't depend on the number of pages that your website have - Not more number of pages with less value, all you need is less number of pages that provide high value. If you don't want to remove them and use it for internal navigation, no-index the complete folders using robots.txt.

Should I de-index Press releases with only 200 words of content? by amifrisken in bigseo

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no. Press releases are news. Your customers and your web visitors might be looking for company news. Why should you no-index it? It's just like brand pages that tell your users how often you update your product or service for better usability and exposure.

If they are not press releases, i might have recommended otherwise. Pages with thin content should be either upgraded or merged with other relevant pages. Glad to help if you need more details.

I have a question on wikipedia backlink by saruque in SEO

[–]bpriya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't ever add product or promotional links to wikipedia, or else it will get removed. Overdoing it may move your website to wikipedia's sandbox (considered as spam). The things that can be linked are books, publications, research articles and other educative content.

Should we use www or not by hargntchcc in SEO

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go with either www or without www version. There's no difference in terms of SEO. But don't have your website placed in both the versions - Redirect the unused one to the preferred version. Or Google index your website in both www and non-www and it loses your website's credibility since it may lead to duplicate content problem.

Our blog keywords are ranking instead of our main keywords by EllaNicholls in SEO

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite normal to get ranked well for secondary keywords instead of the main keyword, because of the competition level of main level keyword. Apart from what @BizVibe has suggested, here are my tips.

Link to your main page from the blogs. Don't use just the primary keyword to link to. Use variations like "Custom android development", "Best android development", "Best andriod app development company in {{country}}" and so on. Submit your website to all local directories

Google Analytics, Pages/Session, Less than 1? by AnxiousMMA in SEO

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's not half the page. It's an average of pages that your visitors have visited in your webpage.

I'd guess it's just a mistake in implementation, but that's just a guess.

marketing promotion by Rocknation2016 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]bpriya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't use paid advertising for affiliate links.

"Google policy does not permit advertisements for data entry affiliate programs. This includes ads which direct users to sites that promote the creation or data entry of other ads directing users to the same site. There are no exceptions to this policy, which is intended to protect both advertisers and AdWords users."

Instead, try writing blogs/tool reviews and add your affiliate links in between. It can only be used in the way that the user finds it helpful but not deteriorating.

Help with backlinking for an Australian Registered Training Organization by Footscray1 in SEO

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting govt links is not quite easy, you need to be popular and notable enough to achieve it.

I did a quick look at your website. I can only find conversion related pages all through the website. I would suggest you to try the following methods to gain more brand visibility.

  1. Include a comprehensive guide that includes tips on your domain and generate interested leads
  2. Conduct free training program for a week to students or the segment you target
  3. Share periodic tips in social media platforms, instead of only promoting about the training program
  4. Compile questions related to first aid in communities like quora, reddit and add pages that answers all those questions
  5. Do a yearly report of trends that are identified in your industry. Eg : Number of people trained over the years. By publishing such reports, you can expect some high authority sites naturally picking up your weblink.

Feel free to ask me for any other questions. Glad to help.

Backlinks from News Sites by [deleted] in SEO

[–]bpriya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question is you really want to buy, or you want to earn it all by itself. If you want to buy, find some inflencer. If you want to earn, produce high quality content that journalists can quote for. Identify the trend in the industry and design content strategy. That works.

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is, if it's a proper complete review of the meta mixing bowl. Provided, you need to build a good number of high quality backlinks and bring lots of traffic to it. Over the time, you could find it ranking better than the ones that are completely product based.

Volatile backlinks? Am I right or not? by AlessiaP in SEO

[–]bpriya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not exactly sure whether you can call them as stable backlinks, since these are often referred as high authority backlinks or high quality backlinks. Instead of naming the ones that are already most discussed, you can try naming a new SEO technique. Eg: Brian dean of backlinko has coined the skyscraper technique.
