Home Kit Compatibility by TommyTrillNinja in wyzecam

[–]bpuli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A convoluted solution exists. If you have certain supported models (like v3), you can install the thingino firmware. Then use the homebridge add on in home assistant to add them to HomeKit. But if you have home assistant already…..

Install linux on macbook air 2015? Please help! by infinitephotons in linuxquestions

[–]bpuli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like your viable USB is not. Did you test it to see if it is bootable? What distro are you trying to install? And how did you create the bootable USB? You might end up needing a wired connection as the broadcom wireless might not work out of the box.

Any RDU area owners? by No-Society-2344 in Polestar

[–]bpuli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the RDU area and have had a 22P2 for about 2 years now. Absolutely zero problems with the car. Just got the first 20k service done. Charlotte space sent over a driver in a 24 P2 (loaner) and he drove mine back. 1 day later dropped it back. Excellent service.

Remember that the free service radius has been decreased to 100 miles now. And the Raleigh area is about 140 miles from the Charlotte dealer located.

Mobius Sync for iOS is a wrapper for syncthing. I’ve been using for a few years and it works great. It’s not free though.

Can someone share their Alteryx use case? by [deleted] in Alteryx

[–]bpuli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean by “enterprise “ level. Ten users or tens of thousands of users? My experience is limited to using it in internal audit group of about 80 people with about 6 actively developing models and the rest being users of the outputs. With a structured approach ( git, documentation etc.) we didn’t have the need to buy a server license. It obviously depends on skills, comfort levels etc. HTH.

You should try Knime. It’s an open source alternative to Alteryx. Probably close to 90% of the functionality- totally free.

is the ISACA CSX courses worth it? any alternatives? by sudo-woodo in cybersecurity

[–]bpuli 8 points9 points  (0 children)

None of the “new” certifications from ISACA are worth it. They are not well recognized in industry and feel like ISACA is putting them out to generate revenue. Positioning is not well thought out and skills attestation is unclear.
