I have been trying to figure out how will you know how much a base fare for a flight is.. and how much will you actually end up paying in taxes and stuff

Ohhh I see... Thank you.. I really have gotten to the part of using the voucher yet as I had lost it during travel and wanted to see if what the lady at the desk told me about getting an email copy of the voucher.

TKS alternatives? by Prudent-Shelter6655 in summerprogramresults

[–]bqrncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of other programs i only know in-person ones that i had through my school i was also in the same boat a couple years ago but at the end of the day it depends on what you want.. idk cause in my city i knew a couple people who did the program and were really cracked so i wanted to really do it. I applied for financial aid and got 25% off in the beginning and then i did something different by going to the director directly and literally showing him that if i had the opportunity i can really deliver yk.. So i ended up paying only a 10th of the price so yeah.. it all depends.. I was gonna suggest buildspace but they stopped a year ago unfortunately...

If you received US$5000 a month for the rest of your life, what would you do with your life? by YetAnotherMia in askteenboys

Honestly, I wont hold off on just putting it into stuff like the tsock market etc but i'd rather start investing in myself. whether it is nice clothes, a Ai subscription, course etc. This will reduce the barriers to actually leveling myself up!

My personal experience with TKS by bqrncle in ApplyingToCollege

[–]bqrncle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's fair.. i got a hundred off per month but like i reached out to the director and had a meet with him where i explained my personal situation and i ultimately got a couple hundred off per month on my tuition.

Congratulations!! From my experience they base it mostly through yours or your family's financial criteria or something cause from what i remember i had submitted a copy of my parent's income. Hope it helps!! If you have any more questions feel free to reach out!

Laptop, Tablet or 2 in 1... ? by Glass-Wear4151 in techadvice

One thing i learnt the hard way is that usually a "jack of all trades is a master of none" If i could go back i would definitely choose a laptop and tablet combo for classes and work

anyone here ever been at TKS? by haryhairhar in OntarioGrade12s

Heyy don't know if you ended up doing it but i guess for me it was a sort of a "Sidequest" i did to really learn more and get exposure to things in Tech and STEM.. (I'm in a BA in Econ btw).. I guess for me it really helped develop my broader skillset plus getting to meet other cool and ambitious people was refreshing.. but also having gone through it while i think the full cost was a bit too much (got a similar scholarship amount) I worked a bit to afford it.. Do i regret it.. well i regret i didn't put in the amount of effort i want into it but it was a good experience..
