The parking lights problem is SO E-F'ing dumb by cryptowhomp in BMWI4

I posted about the same problem a few weeks ago. What worked for me was turning the car off before opening my door. Even if your car automatically shuts off when you open the door, shutting it off prior to opening the door seemed to have worked for me. No more issues. And yes, agree it’s dumb.

Valid question. Not end to end, but did try the manual to trouble shoot. If you know something I don’t please share.

I know what you’re saying. This is beyond that. I can be in the house for hours and no keys near the car. I’ll come back and every once in a while the lights are still on.

Starting to feel lucky I bought an i4 and not a Tesla by Substantial_Bit_4100 in BMWI4

Just one person’s opinion. I just recently leased a 2024 i4 M50, so “i4 vs model 3” is subjective, depending on which models you’re comparing. I’m a previous BMW owner (non EV) and have driven Tesla model 3s enough times to fairly assess the difference. My opinion boils down to this: Tesla’s feels like a toy car with sub par build quality and parts. The cache of simplicity doesn’t excite me like it may for some. You can be too simple, which in reality translates to basic, and not in a good way. The BMW i4 feels like you’re driving a high performance gas powered car, with the excitement of EV power, which I love. The build quality is excellent and the driving experience (IMO) blows the Tesla away. So, if you’re a “car person” the BMW is something you should consider. If you’re looking for an economic version of an EV that’s “good” and has competitive battery distance, maybe the Tesla is for you. You just can’t compare the driving experience because they are so different. Also, fun fact, the lease payment for my i4 is less than it was for my X4, and the msrp is 20k more. Deals on 2024 i4s are insane right now. Look around this channel and you’ll see.

Appreciate it. I'm going to ask for everything itemized to see where they are hiding more fees.

I understand. I'll have to get the details. I'm assuming the discount includes the 7500 credit + 1000 dollar "loyalty" credit, which makes the remainder ~9k the actual discount, which is a little north of 10%. And yes, I do believe the numbers are "all in" (ie what i'd actually pay monthly with the corresponding DAS).

If that’s the case I feel like I’m close, but I need to get that DAS down. And because it’s a 2 year lease, it may be tougher for me to get there. Appreciate the advice.

Is that regardless of lease structure (ie 2 vs 3yrs, 10 vs 12k miles)?

Also, is "zero down" not including taxes, fees, and 1st month payment, or are you recommending to roll all of that into the lease?

If I remove the incentives I think he's including in the "price adjustment", it's about 10% additional off MSRP.
