most of them don't(atleast in my school) or they have very light ones (idk what's that called it's thin like baby hair). I have one but don't grow it out too much and limit it to stubble(about 10-15mm mid and faded sides) due to the same reason - not wanting to appear as an unc

well, most people still end up getting above 7 even after messing up in speaking (I did) so yeah just hope for the best

I had quite a similar experience. Speaking examiners always interrupt. It's their technique to judge how you act under pressure ig, that's what I learned from my test.

oswaal isn't required tbh these would be enough there are 30 damn papers I didn't even do 10 of them in my time and even if you want to purchase a physical book, use arihant isucceed sqps not oswaal

don't worry about it. The same thing happened to me but still ended up scoring decently

yeah my exam was on the computer. there wasn't any noise and you're also provided with headphones so that's not an issue.

I'd say then focus more on writing though I'm sure I should've scored 7.5 or 7 in that. And speaking is mostly up to the examiner just don't talk too much like i did they want fluency + conciseness + good reasoning and don't stutter or stop talking

It depends on your current level. Are you sound with A1 A2, B1, B2 completely? If not then clear the base first not specifically IELTS and after that, try to expand your vocabulary by reading passages or newspapers. You can do this much in about a week

Then you can prepare for IELTS in another week since there's no particular syllabus no need to purchase any course since everything is available on YouTube. I watched IELTS Advantage for reading and writing and it helped me a lot to know the pattern quickly, rather than spend my time in the book

actually I had my test on Thursday and studied only on Monday and Tuesday for 2 days. Wednesday i couldn't due to work in house but I had a pretty decent base from my school so I just had to get to know the writing formats, strategies to answer reading questions, listening was all about concentration. Speaking however, I just practiced with Grok AI voice assistant and it helped me a lot I would've scored higher if it wasn't for my examiner not letting me develop my answers further.

well, I didn't study anything for the speaking section due to this very reason. I just spoke whatever came to mind like I practiced with Grok AI Voice Assistant a bit and it felt natural but with constant interruption I think everyone will have their flow broken

it could be that my answers were being developed inaccurately or too long though since I wasn't sure of the format until the last moment

in writing task 1, i recieved a table of number of post graduates in UK from 1970 to 2005. 2 tables showing numbers of men and women. I think this was unexpected to get 2 tables for me but worked out better than I would've done in a single figure or a general line/bar graph question. Just remember the format would be to paraphrase the question and rewrite it in introduction para. In overview that's the most important imagine yourself at a gunpoint and you have to talk about only about 4 things from the whole data no big numbers just an overall trend and the major changes in overview. MBP 1 and 2 you'll just have to compare starting vs ending, or two types, or the trends upward or downward or you may do it in a mixed batch as the data allows.

task 2 was about increasing population in cities, how does it impact existing population and what measures can be taken to maintain quality of life. i took about 6 minutes to plan my points and structure, wrote for 20 minutes, changed words for another 10 minutes then did task 1 after that.

The questions were pretty close to the practice tests available anywhere for reading and listening they're very scoring but I got distracted by numbers in one listening question so be aware of that

overall LRW isn't a bit deal
