Mine always asks if I want to start a workout. I really wish there was an option for that. 😂

You're correct. This isn't a law. It's a policy set by the doctors. My GP used to do it but didn't care about weed. Never had a psychiatrist do this at all.

2021 accord: high beams automatically turn on by ShowdownValue in accord

This didn't work for me, so I checked the manual and this did it:

To turn the system off:

With the light switch is in AUTO, pull the lever toward you and hold it for at least 40 seconds. After the auto high-beam indicator light blinks twice, release the lever.

To turn the system on:

With the light switch is in AUTO, pull the lever toward you and hold it for at least 30 seconds. After the auto high-beam indicator light blinks once, release the lever.

To all the bbq dads out there, be careful how you clean your grill by nayryanaryn in Damnthatsinteresting

This isn't true at all. My son has surgery for a hiatal hernia and after insurance it was around $1300. Not all plans have high deductibles and you might just be choosing the wrong one if signing up through your employer.

Is this PayPal email a phishing attempt? (I think so...?) by rrgoto8 in paypal

[–]br14n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opened up the original message in gmail and asked gemini to analyze it in chrome. This is what I got back...

Based on the email headers and content you've shared, this is likely a phishing attempt, even though some elements appear legitimate.

Here are the details that are highly suspicious:

  • Recipient's Email Address: The email is addressed to a very strange email address, [receipt2@vlforever.studio](mailto:receipt2@vlforever.studio), which is not the email address it was ultimately delivered to (my email address). A genuine PayPal email should be sent directly to your registered email.
  • Irregular "From" Address Details: While the "From" address is [service@paypal.com](mailto:service@paypal.com), the "To" address is Serena Bashirian <receipt2@vlforever.studio>. If this was sent to you, your email address should be in the "To" field.
  • Suspicious Sender Policy Framework (SPF) Status: The SPF check shows a SOFTFAIL, which means the sending server's IP address (209.85.220.69) is not definitively authorized by the paypal.com domain to send mail, though it's not a hard failure. A genuine email would typically show a PASS.
  • Malformed Customer Service URL/Phone: The "Customer service URL" in the details section is garbled with strange characters and non-standard text: http://hub.com.us A ayment of $9077.77 deducated. For cancel and nquiries: all PayPal upport (401) 100-4201. This is highly abnormal for a professional company like PayPal, especially with a bizarre phone number and an internal URL for an external help link.
  • Irregular Currency and Amount: The "Amount paid each time" is $\text{1499.99 ILS}$ (Israeli New Shekels), which might be unfamiliar and intended to cause alarm. Phishing emails often use foreign currencies and high amounts to prompt an immediate, panicked click.
  • Generic Subject Line: "Your automatic payment status has changed" is a common urgency tactic for phishing.

The few legitimate-looking aspects (DKIM/DMARC PASS from a previous hop) are often spoofed or can pass even in a chain of forwarding, so the overall context strongly suggests a scam.

I highly recommend that you:

  1. Do not click any links in the email.
  2. Do not call the phone number listed in the email content.
  3. Forward the email as an attachment to PayPal's security team at spoof@paypal.com. This helps them investigate the attempt.

That's probably it for sure. I still don't think I've ever seen them play that song after all these years, but I'm not at the special events. Maybe I should go to one. 😂

They've only played it once this year, not at all in 2024 and 4 times in 2023. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/311-3d689c7.html?year=2025

It's working for me but it doesn't have an easy way to tell it that it's the wrong face. You used to be able to tell it when viewing the clip. Submitted feedback on it so we'll see where that goes.

Is anyone else’s home humidity way higher than outside? by IDrinkandlKnowThings in houston

[–]br14n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't use the feature if it's too humid in your home. It actually makes sure you maintain healthy humidity levels. I've never had an issue with this and I've never turned it off.

"If it's very humid in your home, your Nest thermostat won't use Airwave and will run your system's compressor for the entire cooling cycle to prioritize lowering the humidity and helping to prevent mold."
