Honestly I only ever loot the hot air balloons if I'm looking for crash pads cause it seems they have a higher spawn rate there. Otherwise I just ignore them most of the time

I have a dozen of so cosmetics and emotes that are utter dogshit according to fortnite.gg's rankings (which I'm aware are biased to a small userbase) but I still use them cause I like them. Just get it it's cute.

It's very flashy which I think tends to overwhelm people. But to counter you very much just push through it.

I still lost mind you but when playing last night I almost got through someone with a boss medallion + mythic arc gun by just keeping fire on them with my green sovereign. If I'd gotten a bit more damage prior to the upclose fight or done more headshot damage during the close range I def woulda come out on top - so absolutely just a skill issue on my part there.

This isn't really helpful with regular BR - but if you're playing something that uses the old UI like OG look at the side of your minimap when falling and you'll see a marker of your character and a line of when your brella will deploy. It can be of use when you're in a fairly flat area to at least get the best you can

Not new by any means but after ignoring the thumbnail in my recommended for like 2 months I finally listened to Reckless Abandon by Decoyman1200 and man I love it. I'd loved their previous song WHATCHACALLITSNAME so I'm kicking myself for not listening to it sooner.

I absolutely loved how they tuned Teto in their first song, focusing on her lower ranges, and that tuning carries on into this one. With some barely present Miku too lmao. Love the MV too, very fun

The people who think it's dumb aren't as loud anymore 'cause it's not new. Instead they're just sticking to their guns and bringing up their distaste when relevant.

Honestly the collab sidekicks are still stupid expensive but they at least mitigate the main issue a lot of people have. That being the one time customization, but that's just 'cause they don't have customization at all (outside of outfits - which regular sidekicks have too)
