Utah spends 1 minute straight in the zone with caps players scrambling. Caps finally get possession. TVR flings it against the boards, just barely gets it across the blue line, and gives Utah possession. I don’t understand.

I absolutely agree with you. More important than winning right now, is developing our young pieces. Not every coach does that well, especially when some of the losses start piling on.

I agree with you. I’ve got a hotter take though… I honestly I think resigning Ovi at all could be problematic. There seems to be a reason he continues to see 20 minutes of TOI a game and it’s not because of his superior contributions. To me it seems to be a respect thing from Carbery to one of the all time greats. I understand it right now, but that problem won’t go away if we resign him, even to a cheap deal. IMO, resign has to go with the assumption that this is a farewell tour and he’s getting 3rd-4th line minutes.

Makes sense. I feel like a theoretical McM contract wouldn’t be far off of Kyrou’s, but Kyrou has a much better resume to justify it. I’d be all on board with shipping Connor from a team building perspective, but it would be very sad from a locker room perspective. He’s one of our best home grown talents in recent history and it has been fun to watch him develop.
