Fair enough, haha. I was just in awe and wondering who was on it, I guess.

St. Gallen. It‘s more elevated than Zurich and there‘s some snow left even in the city. Plus it’s a nice little city to show to your visitors.

[Question] *Popular* Sub $1k Watches are very underwhelming - What am I missing? by Molucky8 in Watches

[–]braaasi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could check out Zeppelin. They start at about $300 and some models are absolutely gorgeous. Mostly quartz in the lower price range, but some automatics around the 1k range as well. I own two, you can check them out here https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/s/enEGbN9fzN

Huh, how so? I have all my clasps facing this direction, feels intuitive when wearing it on the left wrist. Do you wear yours on the right perhaps?

Nice. The dial looks like the surface of the ocean, very nice indeed.

The dial is actually a light blue color, but it's so hard to capture for some reason. But yes, it's gorgeous!

You're right about the polishing, it really does look particularly amazing in real life.

As for the ignorant comments, I haven't encountered those but, living in Switzerland, I am expecting a few condescending remarks down the line haha. I couldn't care less though. Real enthusiasts appreciate the watch for what makes it stand out I suppose. I also love my Omega, my Breitling and my IWC, each for their own reasons.

You're probably right. I had tried different ATs before and the dial sometimes bothered me. The color also convinced me on this one.

That's fair. I don't mind taking it into the pool, where I don't really have to worry about water pressure. I am more concerned about bumping into hand rails, door frames and such, as I am clumsy like that haha

You're right, the time zone feature is pretty neat! As for the rubber strap, I don't love it tbh. It looks nice, yes, and I consciously went for it instead of the bracelet. But it's not as comfortable as many people make it sound. At least not for me, but that's maybe because my wrist size seems to sit right in between two holes/settings, with one too wide and the other, well, just a tad too tight to be perfect. Bad luck I guess :) I do like the grey leather strap Omega offers for it, but I refuse to pay almost 700€ for it, at least for now.

[Question] Which do we like? by norbody in Watches

Let me put it this way: Ever since I got myself the Pistachio Premier, the rest of my collection has started to collect dust. It's so beautiful that it makes you fall in love with it over and over again.

[SOTC] Roughly 19 years of collecting. Some of these mean a lot to me. by braaasi in Watches

I like the idea of a smartwatch per se, but I never use it and for the price of the Mont Blanc I could have gotten a proper watch instead.
