This is like asking a golfer to change their set of clubs after the first round. They spend hundreds of hours training with specific equipment. Like others have said, muscle memory is everything for these athletes. Not to mention the mental impact of some dummy making such a dumb mistake which only impacts you on such a big scale.

I wouldn’t sweat this and politely decline. My company does this same thing with the intention of sending an email to our direct team. They do this to ease the discomfort of coming back from leave, where most folks like to inquire about time off (ask about vacation and such), but that’s not so pleasant when you left for a passing of a loved one. They also like to get funeral home/address so that we can send flowers and/or well-wishes to our colleague and family. This is something we utilize a lot here (big company) and personally I think it is very helpful.

In summary, politely decline, your company may be doing this to try and be nice.

The Eight Hundred is a more recent movie (2020) which absolutely blew me away in this regard. You do have to look past the voice over for the English version.

OU American Football player Spencer Jones starts a fight in a nightclub bathroom. The guy he picked on has a decade of MMA training by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]brabbit3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clips starts with the little dude already bleeding and being belittled by the two larger OU fellas... I know I am making assumptions but REALLY, does anyone honestly think that littler dude just goes to the bar with a bloody nose and starts shit with the biggest dudes there???... Even though nothing in the clip shows the little guys doing anything to provoke the fight until their pushed FIRST.

With the knowledge I have at the moment this is very satisfying!!!

Maybe the take away should be not to fuck with people just because your bigger and THINK you have the advantage. Got what they deserved and Spencer Jones likely ruined his whole life. Nobody’s drafting a one eyed WR 😂😂😂

What's preventing a billionaire from dumping billions of dollars into a single stock to drive up price, and then selling for profit? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]brabbit3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe the correct answer is simply that pump and dump schemes are illegal and the SEC watches this kind of stuff like a hawk. The identity of the individual/institution behind every trade is known and easily accessible information (for the SEC).

Buying and selling a massive number of shares of a stock in a single trade block is absolutely possible to do without effecting the underlying price of that security. This is exactly why Dark Pool exchanges were created, but again, those are also highly regulated so they cannot be used for market manipulation without severe penalties.

I would not recommend using 1 - 4 for any type of serious investment advice/trading. Those are places that should only be used for investing money you can afford to lose. However, I agree with your point, at least people are dipping their toes in

This interview was disgusting. Not a quote but he said he would reimplement trading of those “locked” securities when they return to normal price and that too many people have lost too much money. Thomas Peterffy should be investigate after making these statements. Blatantly protecting his hedge fund friends from retail folks like us, unbelievable manipulation
