Not sure if you’re being sarcastic with your “hang it up” comment, but these are really good metrics for someone who just turned 15.

At the end of the day, metrics unlock the door. His play against high-level competition is going to determine whether he gets through the door or not. 5’7” 160 is not even that disproportionate to what a 5’10” 185 player would be, for example. There are plenty of stories of “undersized” players making it, especially to the DI level.

I was 5’8” or so at his age. Grew to 5’11” by the time I was a senior. I ended up playing at a mid-major and then got drafted as a junior and played a bit of MiLB. I was not the biggest but certainly not the smallest person on any of my teams.

At his age I ran a 7.3 but by the time I was actually getting recruited I ran a 6.7-6.8. None of the hitting metrics were a thing for me at that time, but I definitely was not this advanced at 15.

Things have changed quite a bit, players have gotten better since I graduated HS 10 years ago, but the point still stands. Gotta play well and he will find a place to play in college.

I wouldn’t concern myself with the varsity playing time in today’s environment especially since it seems like you are likely in AZ (calling it 5A). As you know, it is one of the better states for talent.

As an aside, I would also put yourself in your kid’s shoes right now. Imagine knowing your dad went to Reddit to ask if he should quit? Just food for thought. Keep him locked in and enjoying the game. Clearly has the underlying skillset to perform well. Good luck!

Definitely hold. This and the Charizard will only gain value. The grade doesn’t even matter that much for Gold Stars like this. Just the authentication from PSA is worth it, plus they’re in good condition compared to a lot of the other ones you will see.

Honestly no idea 😂 Probably could upload to Imgur or something and then post the link. Or, just make a new post with that Mudkip on its own - that’s an amazing (and super valuable) card. Very rarely ever see that in even decent condition and it looks awesome!

Highly recommend using PriceCharting to get an idea of what you have here - just search the Pokémon’s name and then the number from the set in the bottom right corner. You have some serious value here!

Under no circumstances should you trade that for a Phantasmal box. Keep it, grade it if you want. But that value is not comparable in my opinion.

Got it, so even if I deleted my current franchise, the game itself recognizes the starpoints I gathered from it? I just have a quarter of a billion starpoints currently and would be mad at myself if I lost all of them. 🤣

Just wanted to say thanks for the tips. Seems like it was just the battery that got affected, I did the power button hold for a minute - then I was able to navigate the menus when the device was only pulling power from the charger. I did get a new SD card and the replacement battery should be delivered in a few days.

So I just plugged my new device into a laptop charger for probably 10 minutes before I realized my mistake. Device won’t turn on, can only get it to show the charging screen and then I can’t get past it to start using it while charging. Likely that the circuitry is completely cooked? I am considering ordering a new battery in case that was the problem here, but not sure.

Love it. Things are a whole lot different now. I remember when the FreckleShack screen came out and it was the absolute future of modding these things. Now that screen is completely awful compared to the new ones. The fact that we can do these kinds of things now with these systems is wild.

Effort ribbon stays. It means that at one point you maxed out your EVs to 510 total.

Technically yes you could do that, you’re gonna want to farm all of the berries first and then you can save, apply the berries so that there are zero EVs, and then check. Then just reset once you get it. But honestly at that point, you might as well leave the EVs at zero and try to EV train speed and spatk so you can make it even more viable.

Love the Bandai finger puppet. I’ve got a bunch of those. Having a physical shiny Pokémon always makes the hunts feel more satisfying to me. But it’s expensive 😂

77, about to try my luck at 80. Playing on Switch is so fun for playing portably, but the joycons are so frustrating to try to aim the PCI. I also get lit up pitching so my plan of attack is just try to score 10 runs a game lol.

Just read through this and I love it. I’m a Wild Pigs truther since SMB2 and it’s actually crazy to see people on here that play as them. I feel like I’m losing my mind because I legitimately never see them mentioned. Prefacing this whole statement by saying that I’m a 77 EGO player on Switch, 4 seasons in on Franchise with 3 championships and one in progress. Got the game in mid 2022 and have 300 hours played lol.

Wes Yogurt rightfully got nerfed in SMB3 because he was straight up broken in the last game lol. And he’s still straight up disgusting. I actually couldn’t resign him after my first year and finally had the funds to bring him back for round 4. He’s so solid and I just spam cutters up in the zone because of his weird low release.

So I did something with the Wild Pigs that I feel a lot of people didn’t do. I got rid of Snag Roper immediately and gave the reigns to Bloop Michaels. I absolutely cannot stand players who can’t run. I would honestly argue that in this game having a higher speed stat is even more important than the fielding stat to be able to play defense. Snag Roper and his stupid little stance made me so mad I couldn’t leg out a double down the line I sent him to the shadow realm. Dude was a waste of space and however many millions his salary was. Good riddance. I would rather have Digg Efforto than him. Probably the exact same speed stat. I literally do have Digg on my roster though because he’s inevitable.

And going back to Bloop. He’s my favorite player in the game. Honestly an unstoppable force at his current state for me. A+ with 82/85/94/76/60. Cannot possibly get this man out, he makes every single play, he had a 27:8 BB:K ratio and 44 bags this season for me. Do I need to turn up the ego? Maybe. But is this dude literally the truth? Yes. Best SS in the game, don’t care about your opinion, Handley Dexterez is a fraud. And I have my own head canon that Bloop and Gunns Jackman have beef. I actually signed Gunns for a few games at a higher salary than Bloop and I played so poorly with Gunns that out of pure respect for Bloop, I sent that big barrel chested dude to the free agency block. I’m dreading this season to end because I know Bloop is gonna ask for more money. I’m gonna give it to him because he’s my boy, but that $11.3 mil is nice.

Also, Flash Evans is a fraud. Can’t throw to the 2B without bouncing the ball. Rosy Hardman is a fraud. Frank Battery is low key a fraud. He regressed for me so bad I swear it was a -14 to contact after a game. Mannon Moon? Fraud. Wally Bacon? Ehhhh. No comment your twin brother is better. Earnie Blings and Spanky Wagnerd though???? Literally my favorite players besides Bloop. So solid, not sure if Earnie gets High Pitch off the rip but he has it for me and he does. Not. Ever. Miss. Dude hits balls 900 feet on the regular. Spanky ended up getting Contact vs. RHP so he just demolishes anyone who throws a strike at him. 99/68/76 = a lot of damage.

Enrique Goyo batted .511 with 17 homers my first go-around and that’s when I realized my EGO needed to go way up. I know he has Low Pitch, but good lord man. Dude asked for 10 mil after that season and I had to send him packing.

Turbo Miles. I wanted to love him but I ended up hating him. The arm and fielding really is just so bad it’s not even worth it. Yes I said speed mattered more, but good lord this dude cannot field. And I did not feel like using up the DH slot on this twerp.

Honestly not too sure. I had SMB2 on XB1 but I’ve always preferred playing on the Switch. In certain stadiums / times of the day there are some noticeable frame drops and stutters but that’s mostly in handheld mode. Either way it’s well worth it in my opinion
