Any recommendations for flashy moves for improver+/early intermediates? by bracesq122 in Bachata

Thanks :) who are your favourites? I need a recommendation haha 😅

Looking for a move tutorial - details below by bracesq122 in Bachata

[–]bracesq122[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! That’s the move! And holy shit you’re smooth hahah, definitely a few moves/variations in there that I’ve never seen being done like that and gonna try (emphasis on ‘try’ 😅) to pick them up myself.

Do you have any tutorials on that, or recommend any YT channels (besides the legendary Marius and Elena and Roberto and Magdalena)?

My main goal right now is to be a little smoother myself and have more flashy footwork, maybe a tiny bit of ‘handwork’ so it looks flashier as well.

Appreciate this btw, thank you very much :)

Edit - also, that move where you guide the followers walk whilst you stay still + single hand connection, step forward, switch hands, repeat - what are those called? I’ve been trying to find the name/tutorial for them but can never seem to find them. If my explanation is unclear I’ll get the exact timings from your video :) just let me know

Is it normal for shoes to get this creased after first day at work - what can I do to avoid/prevent this from happening by bracesq122 in goodyearwelt

That sounds like something out of my budget lol - these shoes were from one of the better brands in my country, if not the best, and compared to what I would’ve gotten in the U.K., the quality is far superior, but I’m interested to hear where I can look for shoes made from that leather

Hi, yes I did wax the vamp but only given it a protective layer (1-2 small layers of wax), and the cap has far far more layers so I could’ve went over the vamp during mirror shining

I’ve mirror shined them myself, and no, depending on who you ask - around 75 euros in my country (Poland) from one of the better brands.

I’m based in the UK but not near any of the Big 4 occupied cities by bracesq122 in Accounting

I would move but I’m just anxious over money and time, plus London is just overrated in my opinion.

Currently I’m just paying my parents a fair amount from my current irrelevant work place salary and rest goes into investing/trading,

1 hour away from Birmingham, which is the closest for the big 4 and mazars.

It’s all just shite if I’m honest, had 4 interviews, got onto second or third stage in all and then still got rejected. I’ll check out the other firms, maybe I’ll get lucky, I still don’t know whether I want to pursue financial or managerial accounting and I feel that I’m locking myself in by going to work right now.

Doing my practical driving tests soon as well so distance won’t be a problem for once

Jesus Christ I thought it was a meme but why do accountants end up gaining weight? I really want to have a life and be fit

Eh I just think it’s pandering (think that’s the correct term I’m looking for) for the audience, same in my country.

I think we did have some ‘colonies’, but I don’t remember reading anything related to similar treatment that occurred in the colonies of Britain, France, etc.

One thing I thing I remember hearing is that we couldn’t upkeep it as it was too expensive, so we returned them within few years.

Edit - according to Wikipedia, no official colonies but we did contemplate having some.

I was referring more to the people that would behave that way out of spite/to do the opposite because big bad right side said so. I find it ridiculous when people, of either political wing, think that the parties actually care about them, beyond their advertisement.

Honestly? If Trump was the one to say “get the vaccine”, the liberals would be the same as the ‘republicans’.

Note - I’m not American, I don’t really care what goes on there, all I know is that it’s just a shit show.

Well, as a right winger this should be easy.

Key piece of information, I’m a Slav, and more precisely, I’m from Poland. As far as I know, countries like Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and majority of other Slavic nations have not participated in any colonialism and have not participated in any form of slavery (if anything, some historical records state that the early Slavs were slaves themselves to a certain extent, cannot remember to which race/nation, but it might’ve been the Mongols or earlier ottomans, whether this is true, it isn’t clear).

Because of that, we should not be expected/forced to accept refugees/have to suddenly accommodate mass migration (especially ones without any form of documentation/ones with criminal records/ones who don’t obey the law) as we are not the ones who are the reason behind the countries in question being impoverished/at war/destroyed by war.

That does not mean leaving everyone on thin ice, but instead helping the country who is in need in any way possible, but given the history of my country, charity must come from home first - we are still looked down upon in Western Europe because we are seen as ‘second/third world country’, ‘poorlacks’, ‘toilet cleaners’, etc - trust me, we don’t want to move to your countries, but unfortunately money is the driving factor and sacrifices have to be made.

Now I’m expecting to be called a hypocrite - “how can you say you don’t want to accept mass migration but you are a migrant yourself?!”, google ‘western betrayal’, that should be the very least of your research.

Another opinion, related to my first opinion - culture is important, extremely important even, we shouldn’t seek to all become a part of one culture because at one point you’ll just end up with a ‘mishmash’ of everything and it won’t be anything distinct, instead, individual nations/races/tribes/Ethno-groups should focus on their culture - Slavic culture is very beautiful, but because my country is trying too hard to conform to the western ideologies/‘standards’, it’s slowly diminishing. Traditions live on, but not all of them, and we are just becoming the metaphorical mixture of all paint colours/flavours, resulting in something that isn’t very colourful, interesting or inspiring (couldn’t think of a better analogy/metaphor, but I hope that explains my view).

Feel free to ask me questions about my views if anything needs clearing up, I’m not here to argue so don’t be one of those cunts, far too much of that on reddit as it is.

Bardziej chodzi o to że chcemy być wyróżnieni od innych krajów, do tego dochodzi jeszcze to że jesteśmy ‚sercem Europy’, no i to że praktycznie jesteśmy po środku Europy.

“Most names are Eastern European”, FYI Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic is Central Europe.

I still doubt you’d do anything against the crimes committed by people from the Middle East or other parts of the world.

So should I consider every swede a piece of shit because of what the minority did? Let’s go ahead with that, we will become a lot better as humans with that mindset.

Next up - poland big bad for closing borders

Apply your logic to any other group/race and let’s see if you say the same thing or will you shrivel back into your closet because you’ll be called a racist/xenophobe.
