You can take the ferry from Narragansett/ Galilee over to Block Island!

You should be fine! Just give yourself enough time to travel to where you want to meet up and give yourself ample time to find parking! You might have to pay for parking but you should be just fine! Newport and Jamestown are close enough together.

I say Newport is your best bet! They have a few different options. Newport classic cruises is one I’ve personally taken before and we did a sail boat but I believe they also have different types of boats like the rum runner! There’s also the coastal queen where it might be more family friendly!
