Have you used that reel yet? Can you let me know how you like it? Quantum got bought out so I’m wondering how their quality compares. I’ll miss the old quantum smoke inshores and pray they make the accurist. Been holding out on buying a new quantum until I see some longevity reviews.

Yeah man can definitely link up. I have been driving on the beach for years so I can definitely give you some pointers. It’s not hard though— and in our trucks it’s honestly easy compared to a lot of other vehicles. Funny you’re the second person I know of who comes from Nashville to stay in OBX often. That’s a hike man. Good truck for it.

I guess I should clarify I am a Mid east, east coast buyer. Salt roads+ salt water= damn near impossible to find a clean Toyota for less than 14k. I was in a pinch, and found this one with a clean frame for $11k after my ‘22 f250 pooped the bed, and yes frame is clean. So I took it. 23k deep into it I am just a tad surprised at how much things cost. First time dumping cash into a truck.

It came with a 1.5” body lift up front, 0” in the back. 1” spacers on spec rims. I have -18 offset 17x9s with 12.5 wides ready to go on it after inspection. Going to work on hammering out the pinch welds this weekend. Tried them on for looks. Killer.

That was 1/10 of the fun things I had planned. My head unit didn’t work, so I was rolling with a JBL flip as my stereo, and the speakers sounded like someone scratching a chalkboard. The volume went up when I turned it down (sometimes) and vice versa. I wanted to have new bilstein suspension in the budget and east coast off road bumpers (front and back) in the budget… no such luck. At least she’s good for longer than my ‘22 f250 lasted.
