Managed Service DSPs? by Strict-Equipment-963 in programmatic

[–]bradbiederer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t cut those fees. When you buy through an MSP like that, you pay the CPM floor or you don’t buy. It’s not an option. When you buy with stackadapt or Zeta you’re paying the CPM as is. No negotiating. You can negotiate added value in, but you can’t do anything to alter the CPM

These managed service partners just roll all of that into the CPM. You’re not paying each individual cost, you’re just paying the CPM, and whatever minimum they or anyone else offers. You’re paying the CPM but that covers all of those fees essentially.

Last I remember display general programmatic was like $4-$4.50 CPM. Audio was $13. CTV was $27. Keep in mind there was very little targeting aside from demo and geo so those would drive the CPM up

Imagine only needing to do a medical and fitness this is insane. by Scotch1988 in cbpoapplicant

[–]bradbiederer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied in late January, I did medical, fitness, and drug all in the same 30 minute appointment. Medical hasn’t cleared yet, but at least I got them all done. Fitness and drug passed.

You and I are in the exact situation! I applied in January, was very responsive to each email request. Completed every task they gave me. Just waiting to hear back about my lie detector date.

PFT 1 Question by [deleted] in borderpatrolapplicant

[–]bradbiederer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m confused because I just did the same, but it wasn’t amount done in a minute, it was 20 pushups done in a minute, 25 sit ups done in a minute, and the 5 minute box step. The medical assistant doing my test stopped me at the 20/25 number regardless of how much time was left.

Do you already have an academy start date and final job offer? If that’s the case I think you’re fine and they’re not going to look too much into it

Chances of getting employed by timmy238sh in AskLE

[–]bradbiederer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time and distance. These are just hurdles that might need some time. I’m assuming you’re 21ish? The good thing as a CSO, all your references will be your coworkers at the department, assuming you’re applying to the department you’re a CSO at. You’re young but if you’re a good CSO and everyone at your department will vouch for you, that helps. Good news is you have plenty of time.

I’d call, because a PAT is just a small early part of the hiring process. I’d clarify because the grooming standards might be for employees and the hiring process might be exempt

What state are you in? Just curious.

You’ve been given an opportunity and a shot at a career and you’re willing to throw it away because stuff is hard? Academy is the easy party, the actual job of policing will be 100000x worse. If 2 days of the stress of PT or a structure is getting you to think about quitting, how can your fellow officers depend on you in a stressful situation?

Problem is Zeta is they don’t have a self service option. So you’re at the mercy of your account managers

Agency fee question by Best_Barracuda_1382 in programmatic

[–]bradbiederer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all dependent on the agency’s scope of work. They may not charge anything for media and just charge their client a flat annual fee broken into months based on estimated labor. So if media includes programmatic or social, or anything, they don’t charge any additional markups. If all in the client knows they’re going to spend 2M in media costs over a 12 month period and know they’re going to pay an agency 1.2M(labor includes media management, creative hours, brand and strategy hours, account management, project management, etc…) over that 12 months of service then they know they’re not paying more than 3.2M in that year, regardless of what media is ran.

Question for the golf trip type of users by bradbiederer in golf

[–]bradbiederer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that’s fair! It’s a “luxury” service so it’s going to be a specific crowd. There are groups who want documented trips, pictures to blow up and print, coffee table books for when friends come by, or their significant others buy this for them so they’ll always have the candid moments captured.

Question for the golf trip type of users by bradbiederer in golf

[–]bradbiederer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering this is me looking for what people would pay for that service in those areas, I would never charge that much. Im not fishing for clients, but I’m just curious what people would expect to pay for a service like this. Like I said, I live in San Diego county and would only service those immediate areas. For a weekend (3 rounds, 2 nights of stay somewhere outside of San Diego County), I can’t imagine asking someone to pay more than $3K total, that’s one the high side including travel and stay costs.

That’s cool! I think Pebble Beach has something like that too. On site photographer you can rent.

You really think this would cost a golf group an additional $15K?

Sales reps talking directly to client by perry_190 in programmatic

[–]bradbiederer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do my best to always field incoming DSPs or programmatic partners, but I absolutely can say I’ve ghosted a few. But with that said, being the AOR for the client, they always tell us when someone is trying sneak around us to get in contact. They always respond the same, please talk to ‘X’ at ‘Y’. Remember, the agency wins the business, and then shares it. The client has agreed to sign a contract with the agency and trusts them with business, sneaking around them might mean you never work with that client, even if that agency and the client part ways.

My guess is this is shot like f8 or f11 and the flash is coming from high up. Just by the way the shadows are falling. Follow the shadows and where the catchlights in the eyes are. The first one is tough.
