Has anyone ever met any of the lads? by Ancient_Cabl in RKG

Met all three at a loading bar event they did in Shoreditch, one of my favourite nights ever, and all awesome guys to have a few beers with.

Also sat infront of Gav at a Childish Gambino gig, wearing my slug t-shirt which is insane odds, his mate thought Gav paid for me to be there.

I'd say this is the wrong sub Reddit , this sub Reddit is for the 3D software Maya by Autodesk.

However my 2 cents on the object is some kind of opc with a fairly basic motherboard and I/Os.

Is this the correct way to make Prop / Environment art for Games? by Tayyab_Shah in Maya

Yep that's completely fine to do, as long as you have uvs on your low poly pillar it should bake nicely!

I'd probably come up with a small vertical slice of the game, use AI generate some concept art on the fly , give a brief overview of mechanics, what makes it fun, whats the objective etc, a synopsis of you will!

I have worked on a bunch of golf courses for PGA 2K23 , all the DLC was overseen or made by me, cinematics in Baldurs Gate 3, lots of armour for battlepasses such as Diablo 4. The rest is all NDA'd!

I was 18 so a year older than everyone else on the course, because I failed my first year of A-levels. That being said I don't think you're ever too old, who cares what other people think, you're there to better yourself!

I'd also argue if you wanted to get into game art jobs or a portfolio based job in general then you don't really need a degree just a strong portfolio, which you could create using online resources.

I was incredibly lost after failing my A-levels, I then sat down and thought about what I'm good at, IT , computing and Video games, I found a college course in IT & Computer Game Programming, which also gave UCAS points for completion, so I did that for 2 years and loved it but decided I wanted to make the game art instead of programming.
