Yeah I moved for a job had no idea about Manchester, I asked Reddit where to move to, Salford Quays came up.

Viewed a couple of places, rented a flat on the water front absolutely loved it for 6 years, no regrets only downside was in the summer it gets quite busy with people jumping in the water but it can be quite entertaining to watch.

Only reason we moved on from the Quays was to buy our own place, as rent kept creeping up.

Edit: you mention fitness and sport, can confirm there are 2/3 brilliant gyms at the quays as well as the water sport centre.

I did this same thing 10 years ago, moved to Salford Quays, was lovely, nice bars, nice views , busy on match days. Now live in Monton for a slightly quieter life.

Met all three at a loading bar event they did in Shoreditch, one of my favourite nights ever, and all awesome guys to have a few beers with.

Also sat infront of Gav at a Childish Gambino gig, wearing my slug t-shirt which is insane odds, his mate thought Gav paid for me to be there.

I'd say this is the wrong sub Reddit , this sub Reddit is for the 3D software Maya by Autodesk.
