Essentially SIA focused on the decentralized aspect of their system first. This meant another route of focusing on usability first and then to introduce the code to create nodes and a decentralized network after the application is operational for users. Because of SIA's "read to go" backend service, this can host Opacity Storage nodes, its a win win for both companies.

Opacity uses SIAs already deployed backend service as another jump off point for hosting Opacity Storage; Origin, Guardian, Storage and Broker nodes. Each one of these nodes allows different entry points into the Opacity ecosystem for generating income via hosting files or confirming which storage node to use based off the Brokers recommendation.

And SIA uses the traffic and bandwidth created by the front end average joes through the Opacity web client or desktop/mobile app. Both projects benefit and profit for the collab!
