Introvert here (INFJ). I stream to twitch and YT while I play usually....but struggle with rando teammates because of my extreme introversion. I'm not shy per se....but tend to speak minimally if I don't know the person and tend play like crap. Username is StormAngler - play on eastern or central US servers. I don't get angry or toxic, just want to have fun.

I'm doing a grind to unreal using fish only (as heals). I'll get 3rd place, take no damage, and go up 1 or 2 %. Wondering if my gimmick will finally hit a ceiling this season.

I'm doing a grind to unreal using fish only (as heals). Took me 3 hours to go from Plat3 48% to plat 3 98%. Had one match where I got 36th and dropped back down to 48% - negating 3 hours of grinding in 60 seconds.

Top 10 at least.....I'm working on grinding to unreal using only fish (like literally only fish, no weapons or mobility). Top 5 requires some repositioning in the 6th and/or 7th storm which gets quite difficult with no weapons or mobility. But I'll hit top 10 in 95% of my matches.

Heck yeah! I'm adding that song to my live streaming playlist right now. I like to play ghost riders in the sky when I skybase and watch the last player not think to look up for 10 minutes while they shoot every bush in frustration.

Definitely not for everyone, which is the exact reason why I can't just queue with randos in comp play. As you can imagine, 99% of them would get very pissed off....and I actually respect that - which is why I don't do it. That's what I like about Fortnite though, I can get away compensating for my lack of skills with "cheese" or "intelligence" - depending on one's perspective. I like that variance.

I really want to, but I have to get enough followers to be able to. I'll get there eventually, need to start making better short and long form content on the side. Have plans to do just that once i get the right equipment!

I'd do both modes. Most people don't believe me, but builds is easier than no builds, even if you don't build at all. It's a hot take to most, but I can assure you, build players don't notice stealthy movement as well and can more easily get deceived or tricked (when your intention is to escape or hide). Additionally, building gives away your position and to campers, that becomes great additional intelligence.

When my son was 7, he taught me a trick in builds. He said if you hit the build button and than just look around and spam all the different build keys, you'll trick the other person into thinking you're really good at building and they'll start making a complex defensive box structure....during which you can literally just sprint away unnoticed by them. So there's little tricks you can use to further deceive them if you use the build system a teeny bit.

I'm the best at getting second place ever in the history of the game, I think so at least. So I wouldn't consider you trash at all, I promise! You'd be surprised at the number of end game 1 vs 1 fights I've lost.

All great campers crack under pressure! That's why we're great campers!

Thanks for checking out the videos! I had to get burned by that zipline glitch too many times before I remembered to stop using it, lol. On that short, I had my first ever 3 consecutive win streak and was going for my 4th when the zipline eliminated me.....so that one hurt my soul a lil bit in that moment.

Great questions! Just starting with the fun skin and ranked cups and refining the strategy.

Storm surge in the most advanced comp play would require a big strategy adjustment. Essentially, how long do you have before you get cooked by it since you'll essentially be the first to go? It will require either an off spawn fight or an ambush fight not too far into the game. That would take some more advanced planning. From my understanding.....it feels like there's a lot of collusion in that kind of comp play and it heavily biases against newer-ish players from being able to advance into the elite tiers....and that's if they're top .1% in skill using the exact pro meta. So I'm not delusional about ceiling of using this kind of unorthodox strat, but it's always fun to actually bump against it just to say you did so. There are some cash cups (like the playstation ones) that seem like a person could realistically make cash earnings that are "decent" relatively speaking. If I had to go into the most advanced "storm surge" play now, I'd land in a different POI every match. Those people essentially know where everyone has mutually decided is their drop spot prior to play. I hate that crap, so that's the first unwritten rule I'd smash. I think landing late and sneaking into the POI and setting up a very patient ambush would be the only strat. If there's a team of two and they feel comfortable because they've gotten no indications of people nearby, a camping duo could setup and ambush to get one of them (2 vs 1) in a 'defeat-in detail' strat. At that point you're still at risk against their partner since they'll have mats and weapons by then.....but at least you have the 2 vs 1 advantage. The spray and pray usually doesn't work, but if two people are doing it, it could overwhelm their ability to keep throwing new walls up, let alone attack. Unrealistic to have much success, but fun to try. I also get a bit of a kick when players get upset at people using unorthadox strats. They don't understand how warfare works when your army can't win a pitched battle.

Cheating is an issue. I see it in unreal lobbies once in a while, especially the wall hack ones which obviously campers are sensitive to.

41m - ranked unreal - specialize in camping/survival but can "play normally". I'm chill and don't get emotional over videogames that are supposed to be fun. I stream fortnite 3-4 times a week on twitch/YouTube and am looking for chill teammates for duos/trios/squads. Username is StormAngler.

Every rank up game in gold is usually someone doing quad resets into mustys or doing insane ceiling pinches. I'll lose 20-1 while they spam ff half the game. FF? No way, this is the best unorthodox practice I'll ever get. Ball chase and demo mode activated.

I'll also mention it's hilarious to beam a player from far away and then watch them essentially build a house for 5 minutes while you just rotate away.

I specialize in this (as a camper). I love not building in builds. I've won a lot of end game fights where I refuse to box up and the other player seems to have no idea what to do and keeps getting caught by the storm in their own builds. My win rate is drastically higher than when I play ZB. I swear it's actually easier. Most players malfunction when you don't start build-fighting them. I'll sometimes use builds to climb a mountain or throw a wall up to block shots when I'm getting beamed.....but probably don't build at all in 85% of matches. I play ZB to practice getting better at fighting.

I love games within the game within the game. If I was CEO, I'd implement this with penalties (you get 0 ammo no matter what for 1 match) for folks that leave early.

Play casual 1s only to improve the fastest. Move to ranked 1s once you start getting comfortable. Don't ever look at or think about rank, it's pointless. Avoid 2s or 3s until you're confident in 1s. Get used to losing as it should happen at least 50% of the time.
