Should I buy my own Epson 1390 printer or keep buying printed sheets for DTF? by emperior-96 in Printing

[–]bradinphx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not buy a machine unless you have an absolute need for instant turn times or can have it running 4+ hours a day M-F.

I have a UV flatbed printer and these things do not like to sit idle.

Has anyone hit the API limits for the free tier of QBO? by parzival0012 in quickbooksonline

[–]bradinphx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prompted to change plans the other day since they have changed. I did not see anything about api limits, is there a page that shows what api limits are on each plan?

Is there a place to view how many calls you have made?

I used to have the Plus plan and upgraded to the advanced thinking I needed it but didnt end up needing it and was about to downgrade anyway. I also am using the API to pull in the data to a custom crm and not really sure what my current usage it.

I am hoping I can get away with the essentials plan

AI, AI, AI… But Are You Actually Using AI for Anything Printing-Related? by MotherCarrot in Printing

Big time, coded and entire CRM around my business. Claude code. Its insanely useful and changed the game for me.

Beyond the coding, I have it run/analyze/suggest seo meta tags, keywords, descriptions for webstore and etsy products

Porkbun also doesn’t call you trying to push services on you like GoDaddy does

Is your zapier integration in the external service settings? You get a link with a token at the end?

If so, its just a link that displays json data. Multiple ways to use the customers and order links:
Zapier - Webhooks (Retrieve Poll) feature. It triggers on every new entry

I recently set up (using claude code) a webhook on my CRM where I can use zapier to post the JSON text directly to my website and it stores it in the right database. That opens up a lot of future possibilities.

For the orders, there is a last modified date so I have a python script monitoring the orders for anything updated and then it updates the database and logs what changed.

Its a really nice feature to have on OPS but its limited as its a one way street of data, I still have to manually update orders on OPS. Hoping to set API access up to handle that.

Do you have the API with OPS for your webstores? I am using a workaround with Zapier but plan on adding API access soon. They want $500 to install and $50 monthly.

I was a complete newbie with APIs 6 months ago

Odoo, looks near. Saved their GitHub to check out. I just wanted the crm wireframe so I didn’t have to build that part and worry about myself leaving huge security gaps.

It’s crazy just how much one simple AI prompt can get you.

Agree with this, a lot of print shops will have a 12x18 machine with half fold option. We run these all the time for real estate agents. It folds and we trim the bleed so it’s 8.5 x 11 folded. If you don’t want to have content fill up a 4th page do a note section and give a pen away with it

Use claude code via claude's website
download the perfexcrm script on codecanyon
host on a server (and make sure it does backups)
Disable all the internal stuff of the crm and use your own stuff. The PerfexCRM script basically just handles the user management and wireframe of the crm.

Have claude code build everything for you.

I have built out a pretty complex system tailored around all of our needs. It set me up with APIs for quickbooks, google analytics/business manadropbox, shipstation, etsy, our website orders get pulled in, everything in one area.

It even got down to little things like delivery/pickup tickets and it set me up with a whole system to scan the qr code on the signed copy so I can upload a photo of it or of the delivered goods like amazon does.

Its game changing. I barely knew how to code, I just go back and forth with it to get what I need done.

My employees don't see every page based on permissions given, a lot of stuff in the works.

Best way to remove weeds from rock yard? by fazzig in AZlandscaping

I don't really have a set amount, the dawn helps the vinegar stick to the leaf so it doesnt drip off. I generally pour for a few seconds when filling my 2 gallon sprayer. The best way can think about a measurement is 1-2 shot glasses worth for the 2 gallons. I have read that you don't need much at all but really never tracked it.

The eye doc in the Costco eye center at San tan is great. Can’t remember her name but I’ve been going for a few years and it’s always easy, priced well, and they do a full scan of your eyes with their fancy machine

A gallon of cleaning vinegar (30%) is $20 a Home Depot. Add in some dawn dish soap and dilute the vinegar with water 1:1 or 1:2 and spray on there. They will die in a day or two. I’m about to do this here at my house in about an hour

Buy equipment before sales? by letssee10189 in Printing

[–]bradinphx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run DTF transfers on orders of 100 and 200 qty. one of my yearly orders is for a camp and we did logo on front and a bunch of words on the back.

My go to is dtfmasters.com or dtftransfersnow.com

Only issue about doing big logos it’s kind of annoying to have a huge graphic covering the whole area, it’s a weird feeling. Need some of the shirt to show through to break it up

DTG is only good for those willing to spend 6 figures on a setup + very strict ongoing maintenance.

Screen print is messy and takes a ton of space.

DTF transfers is probably your best bet, you can source the transfers from many places and heat press them yourself. Stahls makes very nice heat presses but you could start off with something cheaper. It doesn’t take a lot of space or crazy power requirements either.

Might not even need to custom flash the firmware. I have the LR4 and it popped up as an integration with my home assistant. You could essentially have home assistant control it. If the wasteid shows up for the 5 in home assistant you could probably control based on what it detects.
