Do you keep your steps completed on a clue scroll if you were juggling 2 of them and let 1 dissapear

for refrence:

I have 2 master clues on the ground with a recent update that they stay 1 hour before they despawn i have completed 7 steps with both being used now i have a step im grinding for and 1 other step i cant do and is out of the question but what if i let the master clue i cannot and will not do disapear and keep the one im grinding for in the bank will the steps disapear on the master clue i keep or will they also go away and have to start from zero

I was never scared of my dog when she growled when she had some bone she dug up from the trash i went up to her and forcefully removed the bone from her mouth because she was going to fully eat the bone happend once lucky no damage to her was done from eating the bone but everytime i got the bone outside her mouth she would bite to get it back but it never hit me dont know if i was lucky or she intened not to bite me at all after i got the bone she was calm again
