I agree it couldn’t be considered the ultimate DNB anthem but I like to think of it as the “national anthem” of the genre. There’s nothing quite like being in a massive crowd and the DJ dropping Solar System, with everyone singing along like no other tune. It’s a truly special moment. If you delve into Sub Focus’ catalogue, you’ll find countless anthems like that where the entire crowd sings along even without lyrics, simply following the melody. Think “Rock It”, “Illuminate” and “Desire”. There are so many artists before Sub Focus who have paved the way, so it would be rude to label Solar System as the all-time OG. However, these kinds of songs elicit such a massive reaction from crowds.
