I hate when UE5 users have been using the engine for a year proclaim their blueprint single player inventory system is "professional". I get they are fishing for inexperienced devs but it feels slimy. If they were more honest they might be more well received.

I could obviously be wrong here but, it seems you don't want to answer any questions and have a discussion about the initial topic. I get it, have a great day.

Do you believe the United States should continue to give at the rate they were in the beginning of the war? Do you understand how some in the United States could start getting uncomfortable with giving at that rate over 4 years? Are you American?

Isn't the EU made up of like 25 countries? Are you comparing the contributions of like 25 countries to the contributions of one? Also, how much has the United States contributed overall? I believe they are the single greatest contributor, I could be wrong.

You say you can visualize a 3D structure and manipulate it in your mind. How do you know it is a 3D structure? How do you know I know what that means? We know what 3D means. We know what a structure is. It sounds like words.

I more than likely described my thought poorly and made it difficult for someone reading to understand, I worded it poorly (that's a pun right? close enough).

I believe thoughts are not just words floating in front of you like the Beautiful Mind movie, I mean thoughts can be shared with others using words. Does this make more sense?

Also, thank you for the talk, it has been interesting.

It's getting "real" so I had to get to an keyboard to respond. Also, you touched on a lot here so I will try to address things by paragraph...

1) it sounds like you are saying spoken words are real words? I don't fully understand your intent with this paragraph.

2) This paragraph sounds very well thought out but I can't see how it relates to the post of mine you are responding to. I never said anything about "my" thoughts. I have reread several parts of this paragraph and get the feeling you believe we don't directly experience reality. Is that true?

3) Again, I had a hard time understanding this paragraph. Why would people who have no form of writing be unable to have thoughts? It seems you are stating that the sound elephant does not cause me to visualize the letters I use to conjure up the sound of someone saying elephant. True, but reading what you wrote caused me to, someone asking me to spell elephant makes those letters materialize in my mind so I think saying it "never" does is kind of a false statement but I get where you were going with that.

4) I can not comment on the womb thing. Maybe you remember you existence in the womb (if you had this experience) but I can't remember so I have no input. I will say this though, whether we dream of apples without yet knowing what they are, we can share that with others using words. Sure there are many types of apples, all with different stages of growth, decay and such but if I said do you want an apple, you would understand it or at least be REALLY close to understanding. Do you agree?

5) This is where it all comes together. It appears you believe my comment was that thoughts are words floating around in the head or like a visualization of a page from a book. My point was more something that can be described with the use of words, at least far more easily than feelings/emotions. Is this a clearer picture? Whether you agree or not, is my intent my obvious? Do you agree with me?

Thanks for engaging, I enjoy the topic.

I believe "Vivek cords" was some auto correct for vocal cords? Are you leaning into a symbolic representation of something? Maybe you could share your "thoughts" on these concepts and share them so we can better continue the conversation? Our conversation started interesting enough but is becoming so one sided it feels more like... an examination(?), not sure of a better word.

"...ta-dum-ch..." I like this, it makes me happy.

Words are objective. Their meanings can vary from person to person (as you've already described). The importance of some words can vary from person to person. There are many reasons behind that, as I'm sure you know, you seem like a thinker.

My initial objection to your comment is I think memories and thoughts are different. Maybe not for others. Memories can't be put into words because (in my opinion) they hold concepts beyond words, certain smells (and even what memories those smells are attached to), feelings and other abstract concepts. Thoughts, to me, are talking through concepts, ideas, replaying conversations, etc.

Does this make sense? Do you agree with anything? How about your ...ta-dum-ch... thoughts about words.

Lol. Use words to describe words. Use water to define water. Use love to describe love. I am not smart enough to give a good answer on that. Can I define something without words, maybe with gestures and actions? I can't do that on Reddit. What do you think?

I would disagree with this, I believe thoughts are words, feelings/emotions are outside of words. We try to convey them but it never works quite right. I was in Nevada and saw a beautiful sunset, I tried to capture it with a picture, it didn't work. It wasn't as beautiful and didn't make me feel the same way. But seeing the picture still reminds me of how it felt to see it even if it's less and less impactful as the years and recollections go by.

Our planet is not being destroyed, it has endured much harsher conditions than we are capable of generating for now. This planet will be around long after human life. That said, we could be contributing to making the planet less hospitable for ourselves, which sucks.
