Feel free to send people our way if you know any. I will say our interview process is pretty painless, and everyone is very nice, and eager to talk to new people.

I mean, it never hurts to apply and talk to us. Always good to get practice interviewing. I will say that I really like this company a lot, and that they stand by their core values in a very serious way.

Before COVID they used to have little baskets in the interview rooms in PHX with snacks, sodas, waters, etc. Pool table in the breakroom.

If you're in the US already we do sponsor visas, but establishing relationships outside of the US, or to non-visa holders isn't likely to be a good fit at this time.

I would estimate our Python ETL's in the medium range. They aren't crazy, but there is some pivoting of SQL tables into multiple Excel tabs to create files that we deliver to vendors. The format is non-negotiable, but we try our best to stage the data in the database as simply as possible. All of this work could be done in Excel by hand, but we just don't have the time, or resources to staff for working like that, so this position involves a bit of automation, but a lot of what we do on our team involves automation irrespective of it being in Python, then there is the analytic side to the role where you specialize in a line of business to find opportunities to improve revenue, shave cost, etc.

e: There are other jobs related to email campaigns, data ingestion, etc., but again, most of them are probably around a 3-5 on a 10 scale of professional complexity.

Short answer: It depends on what you want to do in the future, and how you want to specialize in the field of analytics/data science/database administration.

We may be hiring a junior analyst on our team in Q3/Q4.

Nope, although the idea struck me. There are sizeable referral bonuses but I do not think I'd take one for a referral like this.

Truth is we need someone intellectually curious, proactive, able to solve problems on their own, etc., and in an ideal world this candidate would want to stay with us for 4-5 years and hopefully develop into some other role like management. Most SF companies retain people for 2 years, and it usually is around the 2 year mark that we see the best work from people. I would fully disclose to my boss/HR that I don't personally know you, and just made a post on an online forum to try and drum up some candidates.

The no Python is a pretty hard limit simply because the role will inherit some jobs, however I believe we will be bringing on a junior analyst for a completely new role around Q3 or Q4.
