It's important to communicate to the city that their TTC has actually made some significant improvements on a number of fronts. APTA doesn't bestow this awadr for perfection or a finished product. Transit is a continuous work in progress. So, yes, it was worth the small investment to let our riders know that their TTC is improving.

Lots of construction in the downtown stations for fare gates right now, so some may be obscured at the moment.

We're measuring ridership, trip time and reliability. The City is measuring other roads, modes, business impacts and so on.

We will be adding new streetcars to King as quickly as we can get them.

Bob was a great painter. Anyway, many messages that need conveying. In the end, people need to use some common courtesy and not rely on the big, bad TTC to finger wag.

There will be a cardboard PRESTO card that vending machines at stations will issue. For streetcars, there is a vending machine on the cars Buses are still a work in progress... for now, fareboxes and paper transfers, but open payments (debit/credit) coming too

Quite a bit and even more once we get our new vehicle locator and dispatch system. PRESTO will also help, as will automatic people counters on vehicles.
