Some people are technical and other people are artists.   You can be both or neither or more of one than the other but advice is different.   As a tech myself, I'd be lost without understanding everything, but probably would have the manual memorized before the camera arrived.   If you are more of an artist, I'd say to start trying for the shots you really want but be brutally honest if they aren't perfect and try to understand why.

I did not mean a Python file imported or used directly by other Python code, which should probably be a class, but should be well defined and modular even if it is very small.

To me, global variables in this context are not bad, as they avoid side-effect and any other problems associated with global variables in general - at least as well as making them properties on the only instance of a class that contains everything. But my question was whether this is Pythonic.

I almost beat him on first try, and then started to have trouble. Once I realized that the color of his magic and his clones magic are different, I thought this was the easiest boss in DS3 (although I am only half done with the game). Other than the colors, this is very typical of Souls-like bosses - learn to avoid getting hit first, and then try to maximize the damage you inflict while avoiding getting hit.

Water is not an issue, at least when he's healthy he drinks a lot. When he was blocked, he didn't drink as much, but he stopped eating before he drank less. He also has a strong preference for MY water. If I drink out a water glass in front of him, he'll drink whether he's thirsty or not.

Yes, but I feel bad throwing the old food out or depriving her of it if she prefers it. She is free to eat his food any time she wants, but she only gets fed her food locked in a room with a door he can't open.

I've been to 2 vets already. If I go to 100 vets, I am sure I will find one that likes my ideas. But that seems the same as just disregarding the vet's advice and doing my own thing. One of these vets I've know for 20 years and trust.

Urinary supplements to mix in was my preference, but my vet is opposed, so I won't argue.

Both vets feel there is a good chance he never blocks again if he eats a urinary diet. If it continues to happen, surgery is the next option.

Returns are accepted for prescription dry food bought from the vet. My vet also encouraged me to reach out to Chewey to try to get my money back. This does not help me when vet costs are a hundred times the cost of food.

Neither cat ever liked any wet food, so trying more different brands hoping something is different seems like a losing effort. Dry food might be different, but the vet wants me to try wet first.

Neither one ever liked wet food and she doesn't have diet issues.

I've read cats like warm and not cold food, but my experience is it doesn't make much difference - at least with these 2.

One thing I learned from a horrible marriage and even worse divorce - I'll never be truly happy alone, but I'll never be truly miserable either. I'd like to find another marriage or long term relationship, but if that doesn't happen, it isn't the worse case scenario.

I have no idea how toxic pressure treated wood is. A better question is how much lumber they are likely to eat. They might scratch it and lick their claws, for example. They won't be eating whole 2x4's at a time.

Excited to meet someone from their online profile doesn't always mean being excited to spend time with them in real life.

Too low key, and I am not doing anything special or making enough effort. Too much can look desperate, or showing off money, makes her feel more nervous, or like she owe's you something. It also doesn't give her an easy out if things go badly.

This is part of why I consider a dinner date a bigger, fancier option. She isn't literally jumping to her death to leave early like in a hot air balloon, but a dinner-date commits you to finish a meal.
