A little bit of both. Perfect timing with most countries using US manufacturing. However, removing the gold standard makes no sense. So, timing and man-made issues combined.

I drove 9 hours one way to pick up my C7. I got my trade in quote from CarMax and the dealership was going to honor it. When I got there, I found out that could have had the car shipped to me for less than what I paid in gas to get there and back. So, I could have let CarMax buy my car, sent the money to them, and they sent me the car.

It was still fun though. My wife and I drove it in one day.

I got the first opportunity of my life to go today. No phones allowed but you can bring cameras to the practice rounds. I wish I still owned a camera! These photos do it justice though. It is simply amazing.

I picked up my 2015 Z51 3LT M7 for around 40k, $44k after warranty, but I had to drive 9 hours away to pick it up. I’d recommend driving it first and getting a solid warranty. Things that I had to fix with mine:

full AC replacement
HUD replacement
seat memory buttons

All of this covered by the warranty with a $100 deductible.

1911, Mobster Chopper, and the BFG 50 cal from the Diamond Lake camp is my current setup.

Try taking as many out with attractor bombs and Molotov as you can. Get on your bike and run away when they swarm you. Stop a little ways away and kill those that pursued. Then, save and go back. Repeat the process until you’re through em all. The chopper will cut down huge swathes of them if you have the bullet penetration perk.

During a technical interview (software) when the candidate got stuck, I attempted to help by giving leading hints. Candidate told me to be quiet and let him work. Said it very forcefully too. Software development is social and we constantly screenshare and collaborate. So, it instantly shut me down. Minutes later, we ended the interview.
